The price is probably gonna climb for abit. 100g buys you the commander thingy for WvW and 117g gets you T3 cultural armor. If you don’t want either of those then you’re sitting on a lot of money that’s probably just gonna go to gearing your alts which can be done for like 20g.

Congratulations! Well, as for now, prices been raising rapidly and I don’t think they will stop since demand grows whereas supply is the same if not smaller.
By the way, did you combine rare or exotic greatswords?
Can you confirm how you obtained it? Just 4 rare 75+ greatswords or what?
how many attempts and did you use rare or exotic? i’ve put 300 rare lv 80 greatswords in the forge this week alone and still no luck.
The funny thing is that the current situation is driving the price of every non-precursor exotic through the floor.
That doesn’t make sense. Shouldn’t prices be going up if people are blowing up 300+ swords a day?

Aren’t regular exotics precursors to the precursors? Seems like everything involved would go up in price.
They can be used as such, but at ~2g+ each you’re still much better off selling them than you are using them to make more exotics. Forging 4 rares for 0.8-1g total is a better deal than putting in 4 exotics for 8-10g total, unless the exotic rate is as low as 10% (some people were saying it’s as low as 12% now, but I’m not sure this is the case as I haven’t really been trying to forge greatswords lately). If the rare->exotic rate is actually that low, there’s plenty of cheaper exotics on the market as well, which is still a better deal compared to something that you can sell for 2g+.
If you forge the cheap stuff and sell the expensive stuff you will at the very least lose a lot less money than you would just forging everything.
