why is it……that we have models for all these armors for all the race’s and body variations…..

but yet we cannot use individual pieces of the armor?
be it on our armor set. or our costume set?
helm,chest,shoulders,gloves,leggings,feet.

most players that play gw2 DO NOT use a complete set of armor.
the reason for this is most of the armors look……odd and generic when used in full set (except a select few….which although dont look odd or dull STILL look generic. which is fine but still)

outfits issues that make people NOT WANT TO BUY THEM. is
1) you HAVE To wear the whole set. meaning that if that outfit has a nice pair of shoes or helm that you like. TOO BAD because
A) you cant where them as individual pieces and in combination with non-outfit armor.
B)you cant use them as individual pieces in combination with other outfits….
so muahahaha? i don’t get how this evil plan has any benefits?
cut costs? yes……but most people don’t buy cheap things…… notice most not all… <_<

oh and their also is this issue were mesmers that use outfits….dont work ….so well.
but hay sucks to be them right. mesmer not important!
(i main mesmer -_- )

i know that these issues are somewhat counterintuitive to the word “outfits”. but they are major issues in regard to player dissatisfaction. which of course "LEEDS TO PLAYERS NOT BUYING IT OFF OF THE GEM STORE IN THE FIRST PLACE!

arena-net if you are reading this…i have 2 simple suggestions. YES they will take some resources in that you will have to pay for someone to go through and perform the tedious task(s) that are needed. but TRUST ME….it will be worth it

what ya need to do!
1) split all of the outfits in to individual pieces allowing mix and matching.
a) for the outfit part of the hero- panelyou need to increase the slots to 6. and make it so that when the player clicks on a armor area (helm,chest ect). the player can select a piece of armor that fits that area from the sets of outfits the player has obtained.
b) have every unlocked outfit piece available in the wardrobe system usable for regular armor.

2)make it so you can apply the skin of a piece of a outfit on to a existing armor with stats!

end result?
1) improved quality of life options for players that have purchased/obtained outfits!
2) the last needed push for…oh i dont know. GETTING PLAYERS TO WANT TO BUY THE OUTFITS IN THE FIRST PLACE!!!!!!

sorry for my rant. and if you made it to the bottom of this post congrats.
i personally wanted to get the new outfit armor that just came out….i saw it in that_shamens data mined posts and was REAAALy hoping that it was a new gem store armor set and not a outfit SO i could use the shoes and perchance the gauntlets with my current armor set

oh and last suggestion anet if you intend to do this. breaths in “DO NOT MAKE THE OUTFIT ARMORS LIMITED TO MEDIUM LIGHT OR HEAVY ARMOR IN ANY WAY OR COMBINATION”…gasps for breath
