new wallet wth is this
Sell it back now! These high prices will not last forever!
But this is something I hadn’t thought about yet. I was never afraid to buy anything accidentally as I always kept my gold in the bank….
Yes, I know.
This need to change. you can easily buy things by mistake without noticing.
We are only humans after all and miss click can get you several 100 golds in the hole.
You have no idea how furious I am right now.
I’m actually shaking with anger.
The buy button is nothing close to the back button.
How the hell did you hit it on accident?
And trust me, the system in Guild Wars 2 is much better than some other system. I’ve seen systems where you could spend up to the cap only by double clicking on an item. Or systems where the “buy” and “back” buttons are next to each other with a tiny space separating them.
I really have no idea, I just clicked on it and heard myself in slow mo saying “NOOOOOO”
I’m such a sad Quaggan now
No thanks. I would prefer that I, and others, who pay attention to what we are doing not have to suffer more clicks because of people who pay no attention.

I’m sure if this happened to you then you won’t have this attitude.

You make it sound as if you’re perfect and have never made a mistake.

No, it sounds like I rarely make this mistake and never complain about it because I realize it was my fault for not paying attention. I make a lot of purchases and a menu to make sure I clicked a button would annoy the hell out of me. If I buy something by accident I put it back on the market or use it. I am sorry I am not a cry baby when it comes to me screwing up and take responsibility for my mistakes.
I’m sorry I don’t want a system designed to protect me from myself.

Actually no. I would hone up to my mistake and attempt to fix it through selling what I accidentally purchased or by using it. I would not come to the forums and ask for a feature that would annoy a lot of players.
I would not ask for a feature designed to protect me from myself.

I agree, the TP interface is already horrible enough.
My stepchildren have characters on our (wife and I) accounts, so this is also somewhat problematic for us. We’re now storing our gold in separate guild-bank tabs to alleviate some of the concerns, but it’s still only a partial blanket of security. At least it’s something, however. ;P
If you buy it you can always sell it back and let the 15% loss be a lesson for you.
As a trading post flipper a confirmation to buy on the trading post would drive me crazy. A better option would be to make the quantity field start out blank (thus having the buy button greyed out), so you would have to enter a quantity before buying something. I don’t think there’s any trading post activities that make you go down the list and doing a “buy instantly” for exactly one of a whole bunch of things, so it won’t be intrusive at all. Even if you wanted to outfit a character you’d likely want quantities (e.g. 2 daggers, 6 runes, maybe 1 of each armor).
Since that above idea is probably never to be implemented, my advice to you would be to avoid the “buy instantly” screen whenever possible. When browsing items, I just go straight to the preview (right-click right from search results), and whenever I select an item, I instinctively click on “place custom order” so I’m at the buy orders page. Pressing the wrong button there would just place an order of merchant value + 1 on the order which you in most cases could take back or have minimal loss.
“Its inconvenient to my violating the EULA” is not exactly a powerfully convincing argument.
I wonder what your basis for comparison is…”

Account sharing is forbidden and may result in a ban of your account.

I’m not a fan of the wallet system myself. If i wanted everything to be visible on one character I would use my bank. What if you have multiple people on an account — a family per say. Makes the usage of gold slitting annoying.
If you have multiple people playing an account, even if it’s a family member, that’s against the rules, and will subject your account to a ban. So I highly recommend that people do not use this as an argument, esp. when they submit tickets for help.
