I’ve got a set of armor with some valuable runes I’m no longer using. I can’t salvage the armor, I can’t vendor it, and I can’t throw it in the MF. Is this a case of Extractor (not going to happen) or trash?

Two choices from what I see but I am by no means an expert on the matter. Either trash as you said or buy an extractor to get the upgrades out if you want them. I wish I had better options and could be more definitive with my response.

Don’t buy an extractor unless the runes are worth 22g or more — that item appears to have been released to remove +13 agony infusions or better.

As long as I can afford the space, I’m holding onto them, as well as other non-salvageable, non-forgeable items (like exotic backs).

trash items I can’t salvage, I throw in the forge. very few items can’t do at least one of those. but some can’t – I think badge items can’t do either? some unique rewards can’t do either (such as the Sclerite Karka Shell, I believe).
If they can’t, you have 3 options:
- save them at the bottom of your bank in case an update lets them be useful
- use an upgrade extractor on it (only recommended for REALLY valuable sockets. buying gems with $$ doesn’t count – it’s cheaper to sell gems for gold and buy 2 new traveler runes than to buy an upgrade extractor and recover 1 traveler rune)
- destroy it.
