If you look at the chart it’s pretty clear the price has fallen. After the first, dramatic price drop it did recover (all the way back to the pre-patch price at one point even) but it appears to be trending downward.
Remember, this is an item with a relatively low availability which people (when they buy them at all) purchase in bulk. At any given time there’s only around 1500 available for instant purchase. Even buying enough for just one infusion would consume 7% of the total available. With that being the case, we should expect the price to trend down slowly with occasional large spikes driving the price back upwards. That’s exactly what we’re seeing.

Actually I believe his point was that under no circumstances do you ever “need” the omni-infusions that require the passion flowers. You can just make offensive or defensive infusions and use passion fruits or karka shells instead.

I understood his point perfectly, the implication was that you can just use the agony resist infusions, if you’re trying to get to the very peak of your stat growth however you do need them.

If you’re absolutely obsessed with each and every infusion having +5 to the same stat you need 2 omni-infusions. So 200 is the absolute most passion flowers you’ll ever need. Not the 600 you originally claimed.
one of the refugees mentioned them settling in Southsun. so if the living story moves people there, passion flowers will drop in price.
