Guild Wars 2

HI all,

with last week event, as every one knows, precursors’ price have dropped a lot. According to the number of these on the market, i was wondering if, according to you, prices will go up in, let say 1 month, or if it’s just not worth the wait.
Mystic toilets gave me the shield precursor today and i think i’ll sell it but before doing so, i’ld like to hear your opinions.

It depends on the timeline for the scavenger hunt to get a precursor (and the nature of that scavenger hunt when it arrives), really. I imagine prices will continue to rise over the coming weeks, peak, and then drop when announcement of the scavenger hunt implementation hits (whenever that is). There is a lot of speculation involved, but I suspect that holding onto it for at least a month is a safe bet.

well the last time a scavenger hunt was in the guild wars franchise for a top tier item, it was the black moa chick. it involved a quest spanning 3 continents, a minigame, a base cost in gold and materials, a decent party (or well geared heroes, at least well enough to go outside of ember light camp) some persistence in farming some obscure drops, nearly full completion in 3 campaigns, (to ember light/sorrow’s furnace in prophs, resplendent makkun in nightfall, and gyala hatchery in factions, harder to get as a kurzick than a luxon) not to mention being on part 5 of a notoriously long elite mission, sorrow’s furnace to get dumped on by the iron forgeman (the final boss in SE story, for those of you who haven’t played GW1.

in other words, don’t get your hopes up. that one was just for a green cosmetic minipet. not a weapon or anything.

Too bad that scavenger hunt in GW1 took me like 3 hours to complete. Granted I already finished all campaigns but still very easy.

As herosandwich says, Anet makes quite good scavenger hunts but apart from the sorrows furnace part I did my black moa in about 3 hours after completing the campaigns.

Personally I’m hoping for a use for all those damnable useless trophies that drop.
