i recently came across some interesting numbers.

basically, making the unidentified purple dye, of the rare quality, will net you 80% of your investment as a profit. this is silly. so i wondered, can you get the new purple colors you get from the gem store dye packs from these crafted unidentified dyes? cause that would explain the prices.

i also notices something similar during flame and frost, where the unidentified red dyes (rare) would be 50% profit on investment. at the time i tested it and people where buying the red dyes for that price.

does anyone know if this is true or not, and if not, why these unidentifieds are making so much money?

From my experience, the velocity on the specific unidentified dyes are reaaaaaaaaaaaaally slow. It leads me to believe that not that many people participate in it, which explains the large profit margins.
