This may have been answered before but I was thinking about purchasing a 50 dollar visa gift card to use to buy gems as I do not want to explain the charge on my credit card. If I register my name with the card online to activate does anyone know if the gem shop accepts this method of payment? Has anyone done this yet?

Yes you can use a pre-paid as long as you register your information (name, address, phone, ect ) on the pre-paid visa’s website before you try using it for online purchases.

Of course it would be easier just to buy Gem Cards instead of paying the fee for the Pre-paid and having to register it.

i used a prepaid AMX and it worked fine. Didnt have to register anything. went fine.

Yes. Once before I went to the local 7/11 and bought a pre-paid Visa, came home and used it immediately. All went fine (I’m even in Canada). A few things to note:

1) A $50 may not get you $50 in gems because the Visa has fees for stuff. Do research.
2) Prepaid credit cards can take up to an hour or two after purchase before they work.
3) Paypal works without a credit card you just have to wait a few days for bank account transfers and there aren’t fees attached and you won’t end up with like $3 you can’t use for anything.

VISA debit also works… but do NOT save your info in client. I got charged bogus (not NCSoft’s fault as it turned out).
