I’ve really been struggling to find a fitting engineer look for my Charr, and the best I found was just getting the dredge armor, but once I discovered the gem store skins I felt like pony’ing up the cash and buying one of those sets. What do you guys think? I know charr have some issues with looking good in armor, are there any other alternatives?
I use the Magitech medium and couldn’t be happier personally. Keep in mind it is a blatant tail clip, but I’m not quite as finicky with that as some. The armor looks too great for such a minor thing in my opinion.
I’ve seen some Charr heavies pull off a fantastic look, particularly with mainly darker dyes. And apparently doesn’t tail clip!
I’d say good luck on passing off the light though on Charr. Not my thing, at any rate!

word to the wise it may be more economical to wait until ascended armor is released if you intend to get a set, here is what it will look like from datamining.
I like the chest piece as the tail actually has a place to poke out, but it isn’t very engineerish I agree. But the rest of the set is unbelievably horrendous (speaking of the medium set)
Anyway unless you want to be spending some gems on transmutation stones I would suggest waiting on buying magitech until you’ve assembled the armor you don’t plan on taking off
I like the Magitech chest piece. However, the shoulder pads are extremely bulky as usual, and the leg and foot textures are stretched. The arm model of the set is ugly IMO. The back of the chest piece has stretched textures, but it still looks better than most of how our back items sit or float on us, so I rather have slightly stretched textures there instead of the terribly mounted back items.
