Guild Wars 2

This thread will work like the Charr Face Challenge, but the only difference here is that we design ARMOURS instead of character custimization here.

Draw a design of a full set suited on a Charr. It will be something that is not in the game at the moment! Feel free to write/explain about it…

Let loose ur fantasy!! Mayby the Dev’s will pick up some good ideas if we help them a bit… I’ll start drawing my idea in the beginning of next week.

I don’t have a good hand with my graphic tablet, or else I would put a decent design on :/
I guess I’ll have to take a picture, though I don’t know how good looking it would result, but I have a couple of ideas in mind, don’t worry my friend.

Here comes my first armour sketch…. The quality is quite low-res but I Think u get the Picture. It’s a tribal inspired armour.
Charr have a tricky body to build armour around so I can totally see the challenge the Devs have here.

It’s made out of griffon feathers and leather/fur patches and leather straps.

As a shoulder protection (asymetrical) there is a turtle Shell. The helm/mask is made out of a big skull, decorated with feathers ans 2 silk bands on one side. There is a necklace that belongs to the chest peiece that is made out of claws and a crystal feather (holds the magic stats perhaps).
The gloves and shoes are very simple. Fur patches atatched with leather strings and the gloves are decorated with feathers. as are the “sleeves” that belong to the chest armour apart from the lower part on left arm that acts as protection from Arrows. Evan the tail have got some decoration here. There is also some warpaint/bodypaint here.

That looks similar to some of the Gw1 charr armours, Frostfang. I think it really fits the charr aesthetic.

Yeah, I think it’s pretty accurate to something the Charr would wear when their society was more tribal.

I prefer armour designs that are open enough to actually let you see the fur pattern like that. And I really like the little tie on the tail.

Holy crap. that’s a bamf charr. I’d call it something like a Mecha-charr. it does have a robotic-looking quality to it

Looks like the Clockwork version of a Charr… Cannot see any fur anywhere…. Awsome piece of art but not my choise of armour. Simply a bit too hight Tech;)

Here comes the back of my Tribal armour (preferribly Medium armour). This is the same one as above but wothout the helm. The turtle Shell (shoulder piece) is only on one side (right). Oh, I forgot the warpaint on this one too. Well, the back is covered with a griffo hide, and the tail area is covered with large feathers. That tail tip also have a set of small feathers. Perhaps there could be 2 silk bands here too.

The Lower arm protection is also assymetrical. On the right lower arm the whole arm id pretty much uncovered (see the front Picture). The neck will be left uncovered to leave room for fancy manes. Same thing goes for the back. No spiky things there that will mess with back pieces, Only a hide.

Nice, i like the fur cape. I figured i’d go high tech to fit my main who is a malgamation of as iron legion looking as possible to match his warriorness and support of the legion. I was debating on what to draw that would appeal to people and you posted yours and i decided to go in the opposite direction hehe. I’m digging it though

You used to not be able to see any fur on my Charr, but they recently changed the SE breastplate and now you can see his neck

@Frostfang, I LOVE that mask, looks quite Egyptian. Reminds me of the horus-like characters from the stargate sg1 movie
