Charr and Fall Damage.
On the other hand, cats don’t weigh 500 lbs.
Even if the Charr had the reflexes of a cat; that they also have the weight of a light cow tells me they should be taking more damage.
The link you posted actually proves charr are in no way any more capable of surviving falls than the other races
Domestic cats can survive because they’re small (the smaller something is the more likely it is able to survive a fall), light, are capable of spreading themselves out to decrease their speed so it’s survivable (cats ball up at the start of a fall to hit max terminal velocity ASAP before spreading out to increase drag and slow down — which is why a short fall such as ~1-5 stories is more likely to be fatal as the cat can’t slow down), and their bodies are designed to absorb shock.
Charr are too big, too rigid, too heavy, and don’t have the physical attributes that would let them slow down. Charr were designed for fighting and running and thus never developed a way to reduce injury when falling — domestic cats come from a long line of felines which needed to be agile and climb heights and so it was natural for them to evolve so falling wasn’t always fatal.
