Dear GW2 players and staff,

I was on the fence regarding whether or not to purchase Guild Wars 2. I watched the media, viewed the screenshots, and wasn’t sure whether to pull the trigger. I then observed this image in the engineer section:

It was at this time that I noticed my credit card in my left hand while my right was frantically entering purchase information into the website.

Now that I own the game, please recommend armor and/or cosmetics I can use to look this way. Somehow acquiring that gattling gun turret would be nice too.

Best regards,
Riph

There is an armor set, from Orr I believe, that is the exact same set. You can preview it in the Mists with the PvP Locker.

I appreciate the feedback. I just clicked through about a thousand medium armors at the pvp locker and did not see the one you are referring to. Perhaps you could be more specific? <.<

I believe the armor in the screenshot is a set named “Rugged Medium Armor”. I don’t know how you obtain it in PvE, however in SPvP it can be obtained through Free Tournament Tokens.

The gloves and shoulders of the set in the image are identical, the goggles the Charr engineer is wearing is more than likely the pair you pick at character creation, as is the backpack ( though different kits give a similar backpack ).

Oh, those goggles Vaatlaw mentions look horrible(nowhere near that concept art), you’re better off using the Noble set’s Head piece, or the Leather set’s one, they look so much better, the second one being the best(imho). Also if you haven’t noticed yet, MOST armour clips with the tail and the textures look stretched, as if you had stolen some human’s coat.

Sometimes it’s necessary listening to the silence, it could tell more..
