Yes! I remember trying to play a slender caster Charr back in the BWEs and the torso does not scale properly to a smaller body so she ended up looking like you could drive a Mac truck between her legs 0.o. The ultra large very plush male Charr seems to work best.
Too skinny and it looks like it is starving to death, I agree, but there’s a body type one thickness above minimum and it looks fine to me. In and out of armor. Certainly more fitting of a thief or ranger, anyways.
I actually made my Charr necro as skinny as you could make him. Gives him that emaciated deathly look. Would look odd on a warrior, but great for a Necro.

I wouldn’t call the biggest build option for Charr fat, not for male Charr anyway. That build also has the biggest muscles. the large build is more like a heavyweight wrestler, used that for my warrior, my ranger’s a little lankier as you’d expect, though kept him broad shouldered since he’s pulling a bow for a living, and that’s quite a workout.
My Charrdian is the “fattest” character model. He looks like he has a hard time fitting into chainmail, but that Plated set (the one that looks like rocks) is pretty freaking amazing looking on him.

I like skinny/small charr. They look better in my opinion, but that’s me. I like things skinny.
