Am i the only one who is seriously disapointed with the way the charrzooka looks ? i mean i see tons of people running around with the same skin and that is supose to be charrs best racial skill, it’s suposed to be a symbol of charr’s might ! And i bet all people saw this picture of a charr with a big as bazooka thing and thought " yeah, that’s a charrzooka i’d like to shoot" and what did we get ? a tiny rifle. Am i the only one who feels this way ?
Whats worse is the charrzooka rifle is bigger than the charzooka elite lol, or last time I looked it was. But yeah, I was expecting it to be an big over the sholder launcher from the art way back in beta but then got the ability and was sad, but oh well its still fun to play around with I guess.
Reminds me of how Nexon was supposed to give a class a massive war hammer in Vindictus and gave them a glove instead. Massive disappointment that left me going back to the original weapon.
That’s been my wallpaper for a few months now. I have to say, the only disappointing part of the charzooka is the 180 sec CD. Which means I’ll just have to buy the rifle skin…. for 26g shudder
My biggest dissapointment went all charr elites actually is that i’d rather use my class’s weakest elite than any racial elite, I know anet couldn’t make any racial elite overpowered but i’d like to be decent at least dunno about other races elites tho maybe they’re better

This. And furthermore, the thing in the artwork actually looks like a normal flamethrower. Not like the flamethrower-mutation of flame-legion-dudes.
So even if this type of flamethrower was used by the flame legion, since it’s rather a normal flamethrower than a mutation, lorewise there’s no real reason against that skin.

I dunno, that artwork looks very flame legion-ish. The holding case for the “fuel” even looks flame legion with that open look. The fuel isn’t even fuel either, its more of a bunch of contained fire, thus giving it a magical nature, ie flame legion fire magic.
He meant a necropost with the necro comment. In other words, this thread was old (being two months stale) without a post and has been resurrected again, ala “necro”.
Also, if you check the charr race intro in game, after you created a character, the same flamethrower guy gets shot to pieces by the Black Citadel troops, so it is quite sure Flame Legion :P
well back to the topic, when i saw Horrik from the Sky Pirates where he holds a big cannon and shoots bombs then i thought why the Charrzooka doesnt have the same size and why the Charrs dont hold it like the Horrik did ???

Sadly, Racials are supposed to be inferior to class Elites. Pathetic design decision, since they could be JUST AS GOOD without being OP, but hey, why let racial flavor be enjoyable. I gave up on Charrzooka, Warband, and most of the other racials because they suck compared to other elites, and as I have them all now, why bother slotting anything subpar.
ANET: RACIALS WERE A WASTE OF TIME. MAKING THEM SUCK MEANS YOU WASTED MONEY MAKING THEM.
Basic rule of game design, if no one uses an aspect of your game, it isn’t worth putting in. If you intentionally make an aspect of your game inferior to others, it isn’t worth programming. Theorycrafters will see to that. Designing inferiority is a waste of money.

I would also like to have a real charrzooka, not a charrwatergun, also the flamethrower at least one of those 2 pics presented in one of the previous comments. Would really express charr personality.
I also started playing charr solely because of the charrzooka and the way he held it on the artwork, even if it doesnt look like that, make it to be held on shoulders, after all thats the definition of something-ZOOKA, it’s a siege weapon that needs better reinforced stance and support from the body thats why soldiers use them on shoudlers and not holding them as shotguns, atleast call it charr granade launcher, cuz it looks more like that than zooka.
