Charrzooka. Is it worth it?
Wont be better then any profession based elites…but its fun
Only the name is already worth it!
No but seriously only thing its good at is dealing some good damage especially when you hit a few crits. But IMO the juggernaut skill is better i only got the charrzooka because of its name and awesomeness which was a good enough reason for me.
From my point of view, it’s situational like everything else. It’s perfect when you are about to be overwhelmed by mobs or as a saturation weapon. It’s an excellent aggro magnet in those cases however
It’s very situational. But it’s also great flavour. See, that’s the thing of it, if you break out a charrzooka then you immediately become fairlykittenunique on the battlefield. There’s just nothing else like it and it’s immensely fun. Obviously, it isn’t overpowered, and it can’t be used in every possible situation, but in my opinion it’s worth having.
It does the deeps. If only the number 5 skill had a shorter cool down and the heat seeker missle was the equivalent of warriors killing blow
Thanks for the replies. That’s all I needed to hear really. I like the idea of it, but if it was completely useless, I wouldn’t wanna take i. But now I do
Besides, eventually you will have all the skills and skillpoints keep adding up.
So I just got charrzooka myself and I must say this may be my favorite elite skill thus far. Particularly for my range deprived engineer the ability to pull out a long range can of whoopkitten is absolutely amazing.
Some quirks with it I’ve noticed that will probably help you going into it, it’s limited by time and ammo, you have 1 minute to fire off 15 skills with it. It’s good to note this so you don’t accidentally burn all your rockets spamming #1.
Can of whoopkitten.
That’s beautiful.
Sadly you can’t use it on SPvP but yeah, it’s fun. It doesn’t scale with traits, like most racials, and like any weapon kit it doesn’t get bonuses from your on-hand weapons.
On my condition-heavy Warrior, this thing is quite the beauty. The burns deal considerable damage, number 5 is my AoE of choice, number 2 is lovely CC, even against Defiant foes, since it lands multiple knockbacks. I don’t leave home without it, even over the powerful Signet.
i use it for busting rams from behind doors in wvw with the #5 AoE attack. it dolls out the harshness
Yeah, definitely worth it. My favorite skill to use out of it is the 2nd one, especially at point blank range. Just run up to someone, pop 2, and more often than not, each of those missiles will hit the target in front of you and send them flying… multiple times XD . It’s also pretty hilarious to see a warrior jump at you and get hit by one of the missiles from the 2nd skill… Immediate faceplant to the ground XD haha
Use the Charrzooka in WvW and you will win every engagement. Why? Because your enemy will be too busy laughing at you to defend themselves.
@Llethander.3972
I’m sure that that had the potential to be an incredibly clever joke. Sadly, it falls apart in that you can’t use racial elites in PvP. Sorry about that. :P

BLAST!
Ge’dit? Blast? Charzooka? Boom? Heh.
No one has mentioned what I love most about it, which is the awesome sound it makes when you fire it. :-)
Also, I think it is a help in WvWvW.
Yeah, quite good in some of the smaller area in WvW, like in the cave near Ogrewatch.
Or just to have fun when you are defending, right behind the gate, and it fall. Push 2.
There are a couple towers where I love going up to the top in WvW right before a gate goes down, position myself at just the right angle, whip out the charrzooka and hit 2 right when the zerg is about to hit the top of the ramp.
Combine that with warrior’s stomp and fear me, and it can be pretty funny how many invaders can take a long trip off of a tall wall.
I unlocked every single skill before level 80. Do yourself a favor and buy it.
it is fun, but the sounds it makes when you fire are really dumb. i assumed something like an rpg rocket sound, or like the engineer Overcharged Shot ‘KAPOWW!’, something along those lines. but i got a lame trigger ‘poof-poof’ instead. dunno if that makes sense but it sounds lame. for 30 elite skill points, beef it up anet.

how you get an elite skill open before level 80. you cant open each tier until the previous tier is completely done.

Uh, no. You need 5 tier 1 skills to unlock tier 2. 5 tier 2 skills to unlock tier 3.
At level 30 you can take your Elites. You need 2 tier 1 elite skills to open the unlocking of tier 2 elite skills.
I wish it had more range. Still, it is fun as all get-out.

In addition, there are 202 skill points available in the world, plus the ones you get while levelling up. It only takes between 175 and 182 skill points to max out everything, depending on your race (Charr need 178). You can easily learn every skill before level 80.
I like it on my guardian cause he doesn’t have alot of nice ranged attacks. Yet overall its lackluster compared to my class elites.
I dont buy either of the 30pt elites cuz that means ill have to level that much more for my legendary so thats what influences my decision.
