So like the topic says i love the charr and plan to make a ranger but does it look weird…..

Pyre Fierceshot was a Ranger. So was Rox.

However, Medium armor Charr have it BAD!

All Charr have it bad when it comes to armor. I just giggle when I see a kitty following a bigger kitty around. But before I made mine a Necro, I highly considered making her a ranger,

It’s shown in Plains of Ashford that they breed Devourers for war, and I imagine that any Charr with the ability to tame animals would be encouraged to tame all different kinds of species for the purpose of fighting. The Charr are very centered around having power so I imagine absolutely anything that could give them an upper hand is welcomed.

That can also explain why you see Charr magic users around the ranks despite their history with the stuff. The way I see it, just as long as you aren’t a Flame Legion anything you bring to the table for a war effort is happily appreciated.

If you are able to mix and match the right armor and colors, medium armor it actually is quite awesome. Some of the order’s armor are also pretty nice for Charrs if u do not mind a tiny bit of clippings.

I have a female Charr Ranger
Wearing pirate gear atm (I think that’s the set, haven’t played her in a while).
I wanted a human ranger as a descendent from my GW1 character, but went for Charr instead.

My Main is Charr, female Ranger… this is what she looks like….

Doesn’t look wierd and fits with the lore, you’ll have to mix and match armour sets though.

I’d also recommend a skinny charr, as the medium armours make them look super-chunkeh :P

Charr rangers are characterized to have Devourerer pets.

Kind of like how Sylvari Rangers are characterized as having Fern Hounds and Norn Rangers characterized as using Wolves.

I would assume Human Rangers are characterized as using birds if one considers their cultural armor…not sure about Asura…

That all said, all races use all kind of pets, but that’s sort of what you see the most known NPCs using.

Flame Legion use Salamander Drakes.

Anyways, Charr Rangers are cool!

I think the Asura primarily use spiders. Could be wrong. I want to get another copy of the game just to make a ranger of every race. Rangers are fun. Engi’s are a lot of fun, too.

Devourers are an Ideal choice of pet for a Charr. Ferocious, loyal, and inedible! (lets face it a pet boar’s gonna end up on a spit roast soon as its owner goes to sleep in the legion!)

The CoE armor set isn’t too bad on the Charr actually.

It actually has a flap over my tail. I haven’t noticed much clipping yet, though that could be due to my lack of noticing detail.

Hall of Monuments medium looks amazing for a charr ranger. That + a thief starter hood you transmute.
