Female Charr as male Charr
Well I did make a disproportionate number of female charr because I hate most of the face options available to male charr. The voice doesn’t bother me though. Do you just not like the way it sounds, or are you trying to RP an (ex?) flame-legion caster or something and need it to be male?
I usually use the mohawk or that one with the hair all sticking up still, but not actually made spikey on purpose. And um… sometimes one of the plainer horn sets, but my engineer got the ones with a cog in the middle, ’cause it looks funny.
Hmm nah I’m not trying to RP anything, just don’t want to notice I’m playing a female character because I hate doing that normally.
… Make a male charr, get over how buff he is for a caster? Maybe reevaluate your priorities? Sounds like something you’ll need to deal with yourself.
We can’t fix how you think or readjust your preferences (try as some might).
You can offer a suggestion in the suggestion forums if you feel very strongly about it, but more over you’ll have to deal with what’s available.
If you want my opinion the skinny buff male charr looks like a great caster, and the way they cast with a staff is pretty BA.
They all hunch because although they’re bipedal, they’re always ready to break out on all fours. Because they can. Their anatomy allows it.
They’re limber. Always ready to rush into battle and attack. Makes em’ look menacing. Charr are pretty awesome.
You’ll get more of the same with the female charr except slimmer, fluffier (tail), less beastly ever slightly (or just as beastly depending on how you build her)… female.
She will be a she and you’ll be reminded of it every time she speaks. That’s all she wrote.
This seems a little silly to me. Male charr do have broader shoulders and more of a back hunch than female charr (due to more neck and back muscle)—however you can wear certain armors that downplay his bulky parts and bring out his slender parts. A female charr is a female charr. Why not just try out a female character? If any, the female charr are your best option because they aren’t “girly” at all.
If you want your character to feel masculine, but with a very skinny build, that is an option. You can give your female charr one of the fierce faces (one with spikes growing out of it, or hairy underbite one), and then make its eyes small and its chin thick. Also, the females have a forward-facing set of horns which looks a lot like the male forward-facing horns. At the end of the day though, she’s still going to be “she”
Really, it comes down to picking the lesser of two evils: would you prefer to play a male character that’s too bulky for your taste, or a female character with the correct body?
EDIT: Btw, here’s an example option in terms of a more masculine female charr:

I think your just going to have to get over the fact that your playing a female or that that you have buff ele. Considering how hands on D/D ele is it wouldn’t be surprising that you character is buff. I have have male sylvari because I happen to like there faces better even though I usually make female characters.
I guess you could try and pretend she’s male but its going to be obvious she’s not every time she talks.

Haha such a manly beast with quite a feminine voice…..wait!? you’re a female?!
When in doubt, look at the tail.
It doesn’t lie.
Fluffy=female.
The mob has spoken and the turrets shall be burnt at the stake.
What doesnt you like about the voices?
… “I’m almost ready! snarl Here I come! grunt”… if you know what I mean
