Hey guys,
I am a Charr lover and decided i would try to make a female Charr ranger. While i was browsing trought the leather armor my jaw allmost fell off. The space between many of the shoulder items is just insane. Some foat so far off the shoulders you can look over the shoulder and trough the gap.
This kind of stuff really is a deal breaker for me as it just looks absolutely silly. It seemed that the heavy and light shoulders faired a little better, but they really should adress this issue.

It’s been talked about since launch along with tail clipping and the hundred other charr issues. Anet doesn’t want to invest time helping charr because most of the playerbase plays humans. Yeah, it’s sad.

Judging by this thread, charr just lost another to humans. Well done, Anet.

Charr pauldrons are indeed only one of many issues charr players face in trying to armor up their murder kitties in a way that both looks good and makes sense. Personally, I hate the floaty pauldrons a whole lot more than I hate the tail clipping issue. I get that charr shoulders go through a wider range of motion much more frequently than other races’ because of our running animations and thus more space was needed, but this is ridiculous.

In the meantime, and in no way excusing the decision…might I suggest the tier 1 cultural shoulders, Coenraad? My own charr Thief/main character has been using them since level 35 upwards; not only do they fit snugly to the character’s body as armor bloody well should, but it dyes quite nicely. Point of fact: Siera’s brightly-colored shoulder sash/drape/thingumus has become her defining piece of gear and the way the rest of the guild recognizes her in a scrum.

Male charr at least get SOME decent shoulder pieces, but since females have smaller shoulders, the float is twice as horrid.
Tail clipping is nothing next to the abomination that is charr shoulders.

A tip – use bodytype 3 on female charr… then most of the shouderpieces looks ok.

Between that & all the backpieces/anything that goes on the back & it floats it made me NOT want to play a Charr- but overtime I just got over it, Why create a race & not have a care in the world about issues such as this? That’s idiotic that “It’s because more ppl play humans, so we will entirely ignore a single race.” Then just delete the Charr race ANET if you’re going to be this irresponsible.

Hey, just wanted to say I’ve got the CoE shoulder armor on my lady charr and it looks just fine, and remember you can always use the PvE locker to find the best combos. Really hope you’re able to find something that works out because charr are great!
