ArenaNet can you please lower the claws on the Charrs feet, so they actually touch the ground, i know its just a minor thing, but shouldnt take long…

Also please fix the heads visability on the Charr, dont gimme that world of warcraft troll head thing… It doesnt make any sense that you would rather cut the helmet open on a charr, than just increasing its size… Get to work, chop chop…

ArenaNet… I thought you listened to the community? what a load of bull…
But if you happen to do, listen to this thread…

the claws are raised so the don’t get all caught in the grates they walk across in the Black Citadel. They can use their claws for offense when needed, a velociraptors toes were always up and they did just fine, couldn’t outrun a meteor now but aside from that…

Google some anatomical pictures of cat feet. Charr claws are correctly placed.

Also, not having their claws touch the ground keep them nice and sharp.

Like Emrad.9260 said, them not touching the ground keeps them sharp. All big cats except for the cheetah retract their claws for this very purpose (cheetahs can’t because they need the claws for traction and being non-retractable gives them more support and stability, and they don’t use their claws to grip to the degree other big cats do), though since charr don’t appear to be able to retract claws (or at least not by much) it makes sense that their claws wouldn’t quite touch the ground when walking so as to preserve the sharpness of the claws.

Of course when running — particularly on all fours — the claws do come into contact with the ground and give the charr more traction.
