Guild Wars 2

Has anyone been out in the Ruins of Rin area of the BC and talked to Jorg tomefeaster about the Tome of the Fallen (an artifact we saw in GW1 mission). He says there’s a ghost that appears in the ruins at night, well I’ve been out there at least 2 dozen times at night and never been able to find it, can anyone give me come clues or tips?

I’ve spent hours ‘haunting’ that area looking for the ghost, never seen a thing.
Hopefully it gets added eventually!

I think I found him, he’s actually down in the lake-pond thing (where the water is and a scrapper with pet devourers gathering for him). I forgot to get a screenshot and was about to go do it but login servers have been down for a few hours for soem reason. But yeah I found him down there. He’s the same guy (pretty sure anyway) that gives you the tome in GW1. Watchman Pranis or something like that. Since he was dead and a ghost before the Foefire he isn’t insane like the others, but for some reason he can’t see you but he knows you’re there and he’s confused. It’s a pretty cool find. I’ll try to get a screenie up of his location soon.

I kept meaning to look for that but somehow I always ended up there with so long to go until night that I’d get bored and wander off, then forget to come back.

I believe originally it was intended that all cities would have events just like the greater world, but for some reason it got scraped or postponed.

Well after conducting an exhaustive search of the ruins from the excavated part along to the wall at the other end of the lake, I didn’t manage to find anything unusual, and eventually my ascalonian shield of telling-whether-it’s-even-night-or-not turned from a skull back into a stealth aircraft. I guess maybe there’s some other condition required than it just being night, idk.

no, I’ve found him, even talked to him, but I keep forgetting to make a screenshot for you guys, the last time I was there I didn’t see him but I think it was actually in the process of turning morning. I’ll try again this evening and see if I can get his location for you guys.

When are you going there? Can you even tell the time in this game? I’ve literally just been using ascalonian items because night isn’t dark and the clock is my local time.

He’s not in the ruins.
He's...down in the Ligacus Notos, directly underneath the Stormcaller monument at ground level. There's a little "indent" of land with shrubs and a tree or two there. If you wait there for a while, he’ll pop and you can have a little dialogue with him. He popped at least 3 or 4 times over the course of sitting and chatting with a friend for a few hours there.

…oh. It actually never occurred to me that I’d have to wait there lol. I figured he’d just appear at night and… exist.
