So I was thinking about what class I’d like to work on next. I chose thief because it looks fresh and different.

Race, I know racials are too bad to make a difference. What really stood out to me was that i half wanted to do the Ash Legion Story, and half wanted to make that cunning humanoid Thief that looks BA.

Because to be honest the thought of a Charr Sneaking up on someone is kinda silly. I know they’re supposed to be cougar-ish but still.

Tl;DR: Is the Ash Legion Story worth making a big huge Charr and missing out on the looks of the human?

Not spoiler related, but in BC there is an Ash legion (near the Ashford gate) who stealths, sneaks up on a group of cubs and scares them :P.

Charr look better than humans anyway, especially in regards to all things kitten. Even the atrocity that is their armor cannot detract from the greatness of their looks.

Ash Legion story is probably one of the best choices in character creation, trust me

Watched the Ash Legion cinematic.

It’s on par with how amazing the Iron Legion cinematic was. Wasn’t disappointed.

I’ve heard about blood legion story, done iron legion story personally. Never heard about Ash legion or read about it though.

Ash legion has one of the funnier moments if you do it as a female. xD

I like the Ash Legion story a lot. The poster above is correct as well—if you have a female Ash charr, there is a funny moment in one of the early stories, involving the Flame Legion. You don’t get that moment with a male, but either way, the story is very good. In general, the charr personal stories are some of the best, and Ash legion’s is no exception.

In terms of a huge charr sneaking up on someone, it isn’t as unlikely as you might think. Lions and Tigers in real life do it all the time, and they’re just animals. Charr have the animal stalking ability, combined with human-like intelligence, great technology, and magic.
Also, I have noticed while playing a charr that Ash legion charr tend to be smaller and thinner then Blood or Iron charr. Small-framed charr probably have more natural talent for sneaking then huge, bulky ones—so they end up in Ash.

Ash is fun. It also shows a glimpse of Rytlock’s sense of humor and willingness to follow someone else’s lead when he knows the other person is better suited to a particular task. I enjoy such moments from the early personal story chapters because they give the Destiny’s Edge members some much-needed character away from and outside the internal DE conflicts.
