Q:
Hi all!
I’ve for a long time not been playing my Charr Elementalist, even though elementalists are one of my favorite professions. The reason for that is that I’ve not been able to find an armor set that looks good. So does anyone have a Light Armor set that looks good on Charr?
Thank you in advance!
/Gammarik
A:
Ascalon Catacombs armor isnt that “cloak-y” u can give it a try.
Armagedon ones are also not bad, those u can purchase at cursed shoresEdit – mostly the “cloak-y" looks are the leggings, the chest piece dun really affect much. You might just need to look for the right pair of leggings. I know Ascalon and profane dun have it.
Hi again!
I actually decided to go for the new Phoenix skin set and a combination of Red/Fog/Illumination dye, and i think it fits really well! I’m sorry for wasting your time, and thank you for trying to help me!
Have a nice day!

I hav 3 charrs on light armor. Hard part is finding armor that suits though, spending hours on end at PvP closet to look for the right one.
There are some sets I could recommend,
Ascalonian Catacomb and Caudecus’s Manor armors have a rather “noble look” to them.
Citadel of Flame armor, can’t go wrong with Charrs honestly.
Stately armor, suits the tail nicely
Feathered armor(my second charr), suits the tail nicely
Named armors (my last charr), a nice look overall
Priory and Vigil armors have a nice look, small shoulders as well
Charr cultural armor T1 is my personal favorite, T3 chest piece is nice as well.

The thing is that i don’t really like the “cloak-y” types of armor on Charr. They don’t fit well with the humpbacks Charrs have. Currently i have the CoF armor, which i really don’t think fits a charr.. That is why i have problems finding the armor set

Go to The Heart of the Mists and preview:
Charr T1: Shoulders, pants, coat.
Charr T2: helm, gloves, boots.
Enjoy, you’re looking at the only light gear that is legitimately excellent on Charr.

Yeh … Char pants are all basically “hoop skirts” … whoever did the Rigging on them must have been half asleep or something. Maybe the engine couldn’t enforce constraints for better animation of it without clipping half the frames, but maybe that’s a case where they should have said to themselves " HMM…. maybe we need to consider separate designs for these sets??" … and then started rigging them fresh from scratch instead of trying to force human Bipedal structure over a large Digitigrade cat’s legs (And Tail)…
I had to struggle a lot with this. I wanted light armor for my necromancer, without tail clipping and fitting the whole look. So far I am happy with what I found.
Outriders coat of strength, I got in my Orr story mission
Knights Masquerade leggings. – I know they are common but don’t tail clip!

I found a set that I loved for my light armor charr. No clipping issues either! (The user above me is using the same pants as I am—there’s a real tail hole!)
I have the feathered top, masquerade pants, and sandals—all of which can be crafted or purchased via the trading post.
Light armor is the hardest IMO since it shows the human-bias of the armor designs the most and will often make a charr look rather poncy. I agree with the recommendation for Feathered (minus the head/shoulders), and the chest and legs of the Shadow outfit also look quite good, but there is tail-clipping. I don’t like the Shadow shoulders, gloves and head, though.

Interesting, my Charr ele is nearly the reverse of this.
T1 helm, chest, gloves and boots,
T2 shoulders and legs.
