Why do the level maps go from 15-25 all the way to 50-60 and need to run south to get to a level 30-40 map that has all the monsters around level 37? This just doesn’t make any sense to me… The monsters on the 50-60 maps are immune to all my attacks, at first I though the boar there were bugged until I ran across more.

Because the game world isn’t linear. That’s probably why there’s a rating.

Just like in GW1, story progression takes you from Ascalon over the mountains to Kryta.

30-40 Fields of Ruin, you get there from the Asuran Gate in Divinity’s Reach
25-40 Lornar’s Pass is designed where the lowest level heart is entered from snowden drifts from the north, which you go through Hoelbrak, Wayfarer, Snowden, Lornar’s.
25-35 Gendarran Fields right outside Lion’s Arch, although the lowest heart there is from Snowden Drifts

Might I suggest the use of asuran gates? Kinda a no-brainer, dude.

In Fields of Ruin (30-40) you take the portal from Divinity’s Reach and start questing from the town going south. Only in the north are mobs level 37+.

Have you been following the story missions? They take you into Lion’s Arch before you outlevel the 15-25 Charr zone. Following the story missions takes you through the zones in the “correct” order, though it misses a lot of potential leveling areas so you’re still encouraged to explore out on your own.

The gate to Fields of Ruin isn’t really that obvious. I had to look it up to figure out how to get there. Really wish they marked where the gates go on the map.
