I’ve been hard pressed finding a good looking armor set for my Charr Engineer..
I tried skimming through the sticky but out of the few that looked half decent most of them neglected to mention what skins they were using.

Do you guys have any tips for must-have medium armor pieces? I really don’t wanna copy and create my own look but looking for fitting charr medium armor pieces is like looking for a needle in a haystack. I have pretty much access to any gear wether it be dungeons/crafted/drops/gemstore as long as its not gw1 stuff or something that is no longer obtainable..

Please help a sad charr out! Oh and btw i am female so my limbs are not as robust as the standard male sizes. As an example: I tried magitech armor and it looks nice however the shoulders are quite big (which i dont mind) and the gloves too. Making the arm between the gloves and shoulders look really skinny.

I either want a really buff look (without my skinny limbs being the ‘off’ part of the look) or I want the gunslinger look. I also tried t3 cultural chest to make try and create the latter. My problem with that chest is that it shows part of the chest fur, which I don’t like. I do however like that there is no trenchcoat. I’d only ever wear trenchcoats that have a tailslot or something else to prevent tail clipping.

I hope this is enough info, if not ask me.

Yeah you’re going to be hard pressed to find something worth using that has a tail slot. I can go through all of the stuff I know of and see what I can come up with. I have a female medium armor charr too, so it should help me pick a little more accurately. Give me a bit and I’ll see what I can throw together.

They don’t have ascended armor in there, but honestly I think all of the ascended look ridiculous on charr anyway. ^ That site usually has chat codes you can link to yourself in-game to preview it.

Ok this is something I put together, see what you think. It seems pretty engineer-ish to me (sorry I couldn’t preview with a shield for you, my only female medium wearer is a thief). It has no tail clip, the weapons display properly when stowed (a big issue for charr) works pretty well on a small frame charr, and most of the pieces are easy to get. Sorry for the color scheme, try to look past it lol. Pieces:

• crafted noble mask (or engi starter monocle works the same)
• invaders shoulders (wvw armor)
• wrangler coat (tier 2 cultural)
• mortal gloves (Orr karma armor)
• Armageddon boots (can be found on the TP)
• leggings are personal preference, currently I’m displaying the krytan leggings from the gem store.
  I will put together more sets if you don’t like this.
  BTW if you don’t like the shoulders, swap them for something else. I had a hard time finding any that worked with this set and didn’t float 2 feet off the body as many female charr armor have issues with. This piece settles in pretty nicely with most sets

Been using Magitech medium for some time on my larger female engineer.

There is some small degree of stretching on the leggings, and of course a tail clip, but the tail clip isn’t as glaringly bad as it is with some armors imo.

Pretty happy with my look!

Also, as for posts neglecting to mention the armor they’re using -it never hurts to shoot the poster a PM if you really wanna know.
