I’m looking for the name of the one-armed armor on charr… I have no idea what it looks like on other races. The Whispers NPC during the “choose your Order” storyline wears it, as do several NPCs around (it seems to be one of the default “citizen” toons) the Black Citadel and several Charr outposts.

I really really want this armor on my charr… help me out! I cannot find it in the PvP lockers or anything

That looks really similar to the Gladiator armor set. May not be exact, but it has the same open feel to it.

Gladiator set doesn’t have the full open chest like that though

You know, I could have sworn I saw a karma vendor who sold that model after completing the heart, though it may have been the Knight’s model instead. And in any case I have no clue which vendor it was :<

It’s a bit strange that the model pops up on NPC’s fairly frequently yet isn’t in the Locker and I couldn’t find anything on some GW2 item databases. It makes me wonder if the model is even available to players, even though it should be.

It’s probably town clothing, there’s a ton of clothing on charr you can’t access because it’s specific for merchants/npcs.

Yeah. One thing ArenaNet said they’d do is sell us NPC clothing for roleplaying. That if you saw a merchant or a civilian in clothing, you’d be able to get and wear that clothing. I’m still waiting for them to actually come through on that, because I want to be able to look like the NPCs.

I realise that they have far, far more pressing concerns at the moment, but it wouldn’t be that hard to create a tailor NPC in each city and throw a few of the town clothes sets on them, would it?

I really hope they don’t release it as JUST town clothes. If they want to sell me an armor skin for it, well, okay. But I desperately want some less human-looking more open-chest/sleeveless options for my charr :-/
