I started a Charr Ranger alt. I was liking it enough that I started previewing some armor for it and…. I’m incredibly disappointed. It looks like the devs got lazy and just decided to “stretch it and slap it on”. Does anyone else feel this way? I really feel like tweaking armor to properly fit the charr models should be on the docket of things to improve.

Many people feel this way. There are bunch of threads about clipping and other armor issues. I love charr and I’m greatly disappointed as well.

Look at the cultural armors TC. They will supply all the love you could need for a charr.

Yes it is true that most armor parts look realy bad on charr but you can always make great looking set from different parts, i know i have. Now i have tier 3 cultural heavy set and i think its spot on for Charrs. Wouldnt mind that there is some furr shown here and there but wth.

The armor itself is not too bad and still bearable but the clipping of weapons are so freaking annoying. Every weapon I wielded has clipping.

well… medium tier 2 and the priory armor seems fine.
The rest looks horrible once you zoom in on the tail…
(only checked on gw2armor so far tho)

What I’d suggest just from browsing through gw2armor is priory armor with a tier2 headpiece.

I feel like as a large cat/bear/beast thing… I should be naked. Always.

I mean not only are you spot on with the armor looking lazily slapped on and stretched out, but we get to use such cool options for skin pattern and coloring then they want us to entirely cover it?!

Yeeees. I don’t like naked character. I like my charr full dressed in heavy armor. I don’t like the idea of naked, or half naked charr. But I don’t mind if there are some of such armors in the game, for people like you. But ALWAYS naked, no, you can only dream about it. There are many people like me, who enjoy full dressed charr.

Actually Charr guys can look pretty good in a combination of gladiator-ish armour. I’m building towards this:

HotM helm
Tier 3 shoulders
Barbaric chest
HotM arms
Exotic Pit Fighter legs
Exotic Pit Fighter feet

You won’t be as bulky as someone wearing a full tier-1, draconic, or CoF set, but it’s the cool, rugged look of a fighter.
