I personally don’t like to make ratings, but a simplified one won’t hurt:
5/5 I liked how the name sounds, like something quiet, yet deadly. Like a knife in the dark, single precised blade hit or a bullet out of nowhere. I bet he’s a thief, engineer, or even a warrior.
Aidan of Ascalon (currently Anryck Edgesight, but I’m going to rename him) – a noble adventurer, willing to help those who find themselves in trouble. He uses his dignity to overcome troubles, because serious, thoughtful demeanor is the route to success. Though his warband has suffered many losses, with the help of old friends like Reeva, he was able to restore it. He has traveled on many lands, shores, caves and mountains of Tyria, yet he still hasn’t seen it all. Adventure awaits, when the danger is, this charr engineer, a proud member of Order of Whispers and Iron Legion, will not sit back in the corner.

I like Anryck Edgesight more, actually, 9/10 for that one, but 6/10 if you go for Aidan of Ascalon.

Aliron Rapidblade, true to the blood legion, one of the many, yet respected for the acts of the 3 pacts and the commander status. Although involved in a lot of other studies and of course battles and sieges, Aliron never gives up to his true army, The Blood Legion.

I feel kinda bad for you MasterKitty, you didn’t really get rated….
So then, I shall rate your name! Nice story, sounds pretty cool, not a huge fan of Aliron though….never heard of that one before. I’ll give you an 8/10.

As for Pip, Jack Daniels seems like a cool name, but it lacks originality. I’ll give you a 7/10.

And lastly, my username for the charr I just created is Buckminster Jackson.
He’s a charr ranger with a beard, but he’s also aggressive and liable to cause DESTRUCTION.

A very unique name, Chuck Nizzle, but in my opinion it doesn’t seem to fit the charr. Maybe I haven’t checked out all the NPC charr names to compare to. And I keep wanting to say ‘Buckminister’ not ‘-minster’. lol As for the last name, ‘Jackson’ still doesn’t fit the charr much as I’ve read that their last name is often based off of what their warband does. ‘Jackson’ seems more of a human name than a charr. Though unique, just doesn’t sound quite right for a charr.
I will give it a 6/10 though.

My charr guardian name is Mrava Bloodclaw. She was part of the Blood Legion, and joined up with the Vigil. Just because she’s a guardian, doesn’t mean she’ll be afraid to rip you apart. She’s quite vicious, but very loyal to those she is very close to (like her warband and legion). She also isn’t afraid to get her hands a little dirty if she needs to. Just a little bit of her personality to go with it.

Just finished downloading this game this morning. Love it thus far. My first charr-acter Is Vorlod Ironpaw, Charr of course. Looking to make alot more toons and play the heck out of this game!

Brickfist Stormfur – my hammer wielding charr warrior.
Freybrand Redclaw – my old charr ranger I remember making back in the beta weekends.
(I never made Freybrand again because he was one of the last handfull of survivors that died in the crystal corruption event at the Plains of Ashford in the beta.)

Brickfist Stormfur: (7/10) An okay name I guess, but names with a combination of mashed together English words are kinda common.

Freybrand Redclaw: (10/10) ‘Freybrand’ sounds super cool. Why are you not using this?! Lol.

I have a Charr Warrior named Straal Warbinder – because it sounds like he can’t pronounce a full sentence without uttering some form of growl. ^.^

Mrava Bloodclaw – I’ll give it an 8/10. :]

Mrava sounds nice and fitting for a female Charr… although I think Bloodclaw is a tad commonplace for Charr. I’d probably use something like Redfang or Gorehook. Something evocative of blood and claws without directly using those words. Just my stylistic difference, but Mrava Bloodclaw sounds nice too. :]

You can tell I use my thesaurus a lot. Lol.

Straal Warbinder- Hrm Charr-like… Hrmmmmmm Takes out chainsaw* If I mangle your name more, it’d be PERFECT 9/10

I’m Yan The Feral, I don’t care what imposter humans think of my name, I solve everything with shears chainsaws surgical equipment. Ask my guild-mates, they often say “who let the charr out of the cage again?!”

My charr warrior’s name is Korjyak Blaizekin. (if you’re wondering about the pronunciation of the last name, it’s like “Blaze-kin” only it’s spelled a little differently.)
i’m still working on a decent, interesting background for the name and a little history of it, but i’m not as good at it as some other people are

However, I had a little easier time coming up with something for my Charr Elementalist, Amrahn Firehide (pronounced Awm-rawn.) I went off of the story of your sire being a sorcerous shaman, and it was my goal to surpass his reputation and power of being a shaman. He’s almost always protected by a fiery shield, and he is dedicated to becoming the most powerful flame shaman, however the task is rather difficult at the time due to other greedy, power-thirsty, charr like Gaheron Baelfire and the Champion Drakin Cinderspire in Iron Marches…(still working on this 1 too :P)

I like the first name. Not too sure about the spelling of “Blaize”. I think it would work better, aesthetically, using the standard “Blaze” spelling.

Amrahn Firehide — 10/10
I really like this one.

I have a male thief charr named Dekkr Tornwalker. He’s a short and stocky fellow that takes his time to do things. And do them his own way. He is a member of the Iron Legion as he is much more interested in explosions, traps and firearms that the usual thievery and backstabbing.

It’s a cool name and has a nice ring to it.

Name of my Charr Warrior is Razz Bloodedge (couldn’t think of anything better at that moment :P). He is a veteran of the Blood Legion and a fierce, yet honorable fighter.

My female Charr Elementalist is called Reeva Scorchtail. Although her sire was a Flame Legion Shaman and her preferable element is fire, she has gained the repect of many from the other legions.

Razz Bloodedge sounds good, not excellent, I’d say, but pretty okay.

Unfortunately Reeva is the name of the char® NPC ally, thought I like the name itself, so 7/10.

Nyrgren Stargazer – charr elementalist, “fighting dreamer”, restless Priory scientist, one and only character on my account.

9/10. Nice name, just that Nyrgren sounds a little hard to pronounce :P

Folgore Vanquisher – Fat Guardian that just jump in combat, no matter who the enemy is. Can be often seen on Seafarer’s Rest borderlands facing 50 enemies alone. Of course, most of the times he dies, but sometimes he manage to get out alive. That’s why he’s a vanquisher.

9/10 Name is appropiate, sounds heroic.

Blackfur Gianthorns because I have black fur and giant horns with a mix of t1/t2/t3 armor. A charr warrior in blood legion and vigil warmaster. Also legionnaire of the Giant Warband

Gonna go 7/10. Bonus points for a unique ’band name (Giant) and the tie to spiny armor.

Out of my list of charr, my favorite name has to be:

Chagra Fademist, Mesmer of the Mist warband, Ash Legion, so known for their frequent excursions into the Mist War, and their dichotomous respect and careless abandon for death.

8/10, “fade” is a cool word! “Chagra” sounds a bit like “chakra”, something I’ve always associated with mesmers, and “mist” fits pretty well with the “Mist War”.

Mine is Ferrus Smokereign, Iron Legion engineer. I really wanted to emphasize the dominance of the charr and the conquest of nature by the Iron Legion. Ferrus, of course, is a homophone of ferrous, and sounds Roman, which is fitting with the theme of the more modern militaristic charr.

Titus Bruteforce – Name is cool, but lat name… Meh. 6/10

Maximus Purplexus – I understand, that charr are a bit romanian, but don’t overdo it 4/10

My Charr is a Guardian of the Claw Warband, Blood Legion, and Durmand Priory. Don’t ask how any of that fits together, but she’s not particularly ferocious—unless it comes to defending innocents or her Warband/friends. Her name is Gorodir Clawguard.

^ 8 – certainly has that Charr feel to it, sounds aggressive and decisive. I like how you did incorporate the naming element of warband’s name into your surname.

Meet Rodock Moonshadow – A nocturnal predator from the Shadowblade warband, now an outcast after refusing to sacrifice a captured human to complete a covert mission behind enemy lines. That human owes Moonshadow his gratitude and will one day “return the favor”

^9.5ish.. I rarely suggest 10s but this is close. Very Charr ish and sounds like a name that a Charr assassin would use, especially a nocturnal one.

Jenka Stones, is a female Charr Mesmer. She belongs to a clan, that adopted “Stones” as the last name. Long story short, after losing her war band to an ambush, near death, she was found and nursed back to health by a direct human descendent of Jenstone of Lars. Jenstone was an unique human, accepting of almost everyone and treating friends/warring companions as family. Her original name was Jenkarika Mindblower. However, she completely hated that name, with a deep passion…something to do with her parents, etc. So, after she was brought back to health, fought along side the other members of the Stones clan and proving her worth, Jenka was asked to join the clan. She gladly accepted, with the condition that she could change her name. This was one of the rare times when the clan leader (Erik son of Jen) did not influence the name change. And thus, Jenka Stones was reborn to the world, with a new purpose and family (warband).

My little lady is named Owl Silversteam. She is a young charr Engineer & is with Iron Legion whose specialty is building weapons

Owl Silverstream 7/10 Owl doesn’t sound like a name of its own, does not even sound charrish, Silversteam on the other hand is not bad at all

My charr warrior is named Seigrin Urbanus

Thinking of naming him Seigrin Brighthelm (Only place I use the Gold Dye is on the headpiece)

I like the Urbanus, sounds really thick and strong, but Seigrin doesn’t seem to suit and complement the first name!

Mine is a Complete replica of Rytlock Brimstone, however since mine is a Charr Guardian I named mine Rytlock Arkenstone,

“Arkenstone” since in the book (The Hobbit) it was described as a white-ish blue jewel which seemed to suit a guardian!

I use complete tier 3 armor but no headpiece to show my fabulous face! XD

Rytlock Arkenstone – Good solid Charr name but still feels like it lacks a bit of originality to me. I’ll give you a 6/10.

My bad boy is Ghul Doomslash.

Ghul is a necromancer with no tolerance for anything living, dead or undead. When he was born his mother took one look at him and promptly died of fright. With his trusty Sclerite staff he sees all and will not hesitate to fear you into the next zone should you try to cross him.

Ares Warbringer I give 7/10 because Warbringer is a very charr like name, but Ares doesn’t really feel like a charr name to me, too soft, also not a huge fan of mythology but since it fits with ares I went with a 7.

Hades deathhound, same with a name too soft, also I’m not a huge fan of using mythology, but the deathhound part is nice so 6/10 this time

For my charr I went with Gorak Steamstrike, a warrior of the iron legion in the steam warband. Named so due to that they are part of the power driving the iron legion ever forward. Gorak earned the strike title due to always being there at the front, striking whatever he is able.

10/10. Maybe we should merge warbands? Ryder woiuld make a great dancer in the belly warband! Unfortunately, there either aren’t enough animations, or I don’t know how to access them, to actually capture just how awesomely fabulous Ryder is. I think Elementalists and possibly mesmers can be fabulous too, but, despite the class’s emphasis on guile and charm and rainbow swordbeams, I don’t see most Mesmer armors showing off enough fur.

I’m tempted to make a third Ash Legion charr character named Dagryl Gearshred.

I just named my character Jargon TurnTail. A big heavyset fella. Softspoken, introverted, and prone to flights of mental fancy that others often have trouble keeping up with.

I have no clue as to what his cannon class is. I love playing support(and sub dps/crowd control) so I’m primarily stuck with 3 potential classes for him.

8/10 if Jargon TurnTail is an engineer (He sounds like some sort of tinkerer to me)…

I have two charrs: A Warrior and an Elementalist. The warrior is tall and fat, while the Elementalist is sleek!

The Warrior’s name is Charrcolate Chips. He is dark brown and looks like.. Charrcolate!
The Elementalist’s name is Prînce Charrming. He has blonde hair and blue eyes and is absolutely charrming… for a Charr.

I just love Charr pun names!
