simple really, are they ever going to fix it? its been around since release and as far as I know it has received little to no attention, now I dislike complaining, but this is downright insulting to an extend.
How about the Masks in the gem store are just these tiny little things with absolutely no detail other in the small differences in shape? Seriously? Anet you expect Charr players to pay gems for ‘that’!?
And fix the Cultural armor at the very least for pity’s sake!
they haven’t fixed it until now and have not once even answered in any thread about this. so it’s pretty much carved in stone that this will never change. charr are a small enough population amongst players to not care about them.
Coats or Chest-plates Why can’t you make a cut for the tail? I mean seriously the tail for me is a problem! Cut out a piece for the tail like in shamans armor! And the way you make the graphic stretching? I mean come on Arena net please help us charrs we want proper Gear! Build for a Charr!
Skirts for a Charr? well okay I call it “Tassets” fine but when I do animations the graphic stretching is more like tearing ._. I mean Please help the Charr! when we dance we look like a idiot! Tribal? well okay but jumping up and down with your hands up? like wtf? but that’s out of topic. We just want proper polishing of our armor and not Hear and forget and repeat everything i just said in a year or so. Arena Net! I love Guild Wars 2, But if your not gonna help us Charrs what good are we to you? I know Charr population is pretty low but it’s because you pay little to no attention at all! This is partly players fault for rolling 1000 Humans and Norns per day. You can’t expect ANet to care about a minority of the player base. :/
People don’t roll Charr because they’re too “alien”. There was a variety of studies done to prove this – players like to roll humanoid races only because they identify with them. This game makes it even worse with the Queensdale champ train.
Its a shame this game doesn’t give any incentive at all to roll an unpopular race, like bonus stats (in PvE only, of course) to draw people to it.
If you think Charr are bad, Asura can’t even see their weapons half the time.

Its pathetic really. Bought the game a few weeks ago and was super exited to play a female charr couse Im not boring enough to play a Human/Nord Then this… Floating shoulder pads, Floating weapons.. Bah..
It’s really sad that some of the Charr CULTURAL ARMOR, armor made for them and only them… still doesn’t fit right. How can you make Charr cultural armor without any kind of space for the tail?
The armor that does it right is great… but it’s really absurd that those pieces made specifically for the race could get it so wrong.
Of course, this kind of issue is exactly why most games don’t even bother with a real beast race like this – they all look like “Star Trek Aliens”. Humans with clip-on ears and tail.
I really wish anet would let us know they’re paying attention & fix the back item issue with gaping

I was looking through the skins in the warderobe…… It made me so sad really. There is SO MUCH clipping….
One thing that A-net will have credit for though is the new medium armour – it doesnt tailclip! But he other two does. And there is so much old armours to fix… of all classes…
I can live with tiny clipping but when something clips through an entire bodypart such as a tail or horns… that just ugly. No way I will ever wear or buy an armour that clips so badly! I Think A-net could get plenty of Money by fixing the clipping issue for charr…

Sadly they keep coming up with this. It´s really disappointing for everybody who play a Charr to be let down like that. And it´s possibly the worst possible PR for the race as well.
Maybe, with a bit of luck, they will realize that one day.

Judging by my experience over the last year, I would say only 1 in 10 players is a Charr, and its almost always a male Charr. Female Charr are extremely rare.

This needs addressed so bad. I bought Primeval Armor for my Charr today, thinking “perfect, this armor looks so good and it was only 500 gems…” What the gem store doesn’t show you is the fact that my characters face clips through the front of the helmet, and it’s pretty easily visible, seeing as how my character has white fur. So one 350 gem makeover kit later, and an hour messing with face proportions and all that, I have come to the conclusion that the only way to properly fix my character, is to make it female, since more than half of the male Charr faces clip through a Primeval Helm, and the ones that don’t look god-awful.
…So now i’m saving for a name change contract, about 60 gold later, I might actually have a character I’ll be happy with.

Yes Female Charr are rare. But lately i got the feeling that there is an increase in female Charr. At least on Deso

in the 1st pic i have full tier 3 armor is the best looking armor for a warrior or guardian
in the 2nd pic i have tier 1 shoulders tier 2 helm chest and boots and tier 3 gloves and legs
in the 3th you can see my necro i has complete TA armor only the head is from the beginning when i created him
I wonder how much of the “People don’t play Charr, so we won’t bother fixing their armor” is a positive-feedback loop and self-sustaining problem.
Seriously – Charr are one of the coolest and most unique races in the game, yet anyone who tries to play as one with the expectation of being an awesome-looking kitten steampunk hellcat finds themselves sorely disappointed by stretched textures, horrendous clipping, no way to show off the fur we spend a great deal of time getting to look right, and a complete lack of armor diversity for playable characters. Then we get angry, complain to Anet about the problem, get rebuffed, and then find ourselves either rolling up a race that isn’t an aesthetic atrocity, or outright quitting the game entirely because it failed to deliver a satisfactory experience for people who want to play Charr.
1. People do not roll charr because armour is stretched out and clip badly on them.
2. Arena Net won’t fix them because not enough people play them.

Makes me wonder why they made this race playable in the first place if they can’t be bothered to make the armor sets fit them without horrible clipping.
Yes, I honestly would be surprised if the lack of even minimal care in armor design was not one direct cause of the fact that there are fewer charr characters, despite the fact that the character models themselves can be made to look fantastic with all the different fur and horn and face choices (as opposed to the array of indistinguishable painted babydoll clones that are human females, ugh).
You pick charr for your character’s species, get excited with all those options, look forward to getting some badarse armor to match your badarse character … and instead get something that looks like it was cobbled together by some disgruntled intern in the very last minute before the armor was due to be finished. Over and over. It remains a huge disappointment. I love the charr, but BLOODY HELL are they hard to find even half-decent armor for, and it only gets worse with every new set of armor that distorts textures, tail-clips, muzzle-clips …
Kick the “gendered armor” for humans/norn/sylvari BS out the door and instead invest in making a single version of each armor that looks good on both genders and all species, instead of something obviously designed for human males that turns into a T&A mockery on women and a distorted clipfest on charr.
