Was catching my mesmer up on the Living Story last night in preparation for the next installment and realized something.

After the Pale Tree is attacked the only racial leader who states that he and his retinue will remain to help the shocked Sylvari is Imperator Smodur. Everyone else is in a rush to leave…even Treehead…erm, excuse me, Trehearne. But when you talk to Smodur, he says “As soon as we’ve helped these Sylvari, we’ll be on our way…”

And if anyone should be in a hurry to get going, it’s the charr…after all, Smodur could only watch helplessly while his most renowned tribune dove headfirst into a Mists portal after his sword.

So the next time someone tells you that charr are evil, bloodthirsty beasts, you can throw that in their face. Take that, Gwen! :P

Yeah, I noticed that too.

In my rescue order, I saved Smodur and gained an ally in the fight. I saved Jenna because I was worried her wah-bubble would give out. Boringnorn was actually holding up, and I kinda waited for the Asura kittenbag to die.

Sadly, he never did.

It just proves that charr are evil, bloodthirsty beasts. :P

I wasn’t entirely sure if this was merely unique dialogue to Charr players or not.

I figured it was, and that your own racial leader would say something similar. I haven’t done Living Story as a non Charr to find out!

Rytlock is one of Bangar Ruinbringer’s tribunes, not Smodur’s. Smodur and Bangar don’t necessarily like each other very much. Just a minor correction there.

Halcyon…nope, not race specific, my human thief and asuran mesmer both got it. And thank you for the correction, Surbrus…I should have thought of that.
