Tail clipping on medium armour
Human tailors don’t design coats with tails in mind.
I’m not sure what annoys me more with the charr. the clipping with the tail or that mine seems to magically remove and regrow his horns depending on which head gear I’m using… especially annoying on dungeon armor that seems to be linked to the Charr race.
What’s even worse is that ANet has shown they can make armor flow along with the tail. They just don’t do it with certain non-cultural pieces. Really annoying.
Also, my horns are awesome. A hat clipping through them is not.

I don’t see a problem in this image, I just assume there is a hole or a slot the tale pokes through.
Yeah same for heavy armors! I found a really nice one but it has this clipping issue
It’s pretty sad really. Like the gravity defying shoulder armour. A lot of thing would look nice but instead I can’t use it without constantly thinking how stupid it is.
Everquest II fixed this. And EQ II has far, far, far less money coming in right now than GW2 does. If you look at any animal guy with a tail right now, they’ve fixed all the armours (all of them) to have these cool fashioned tail holes or tail flaps. It looks awesome.
But… ArenaNet has been so cynical with their design. I’ve been playing Champions Online lately instead of GW2, because I expected better of them. I might even pick up Everquest II again…
(And last month I spent almost $200 on CO gathering together some costume options for me and some friends. That money could have been spent on GW2, but I refuse to spend money on a game that’s so cynical to the only race I want to play.)

A lot of the heavy dungeon armor clips…hence me sticking to Orr karma gear an cultural.

The problem is that it balloons out the back and the clipping is pretty awful with the animation. This is the case with the medium karma set in Orr also. Some coats do accommodate the animation though like the duelist set and a couple of the dungeon sets(coe/arah).
Ascalonian Catacombs heavy and medium armour doesn’t clip and is actually better looking than the cultural or other dungeon sets if, like me, you go for “functional” over “death-hedgehog.”
Piken Square
Crucible of Eternity coat do not clip, it’s actually correctly designed =)
