Q:
Tails clipping through armors: chance of fix
I would like to see the COF charr tail clipping fixed…
+1
Well, the fact that they bothered for some and not others (or in some cases swung and missed, like the lvl 40 craftable med armour, and the CM heavy pants which have this perfect notch that wouldn’t even need to sway stupidly like the AC pants… but is too low down) suggests they’re at least aware that it looks stupid, which is something I guess. Though given how long it’s been, I suppose they’re not exactly placing it as a top priority.
Charr T3 Light Armor Leggings need some fixed as well
It seems like Anet gives no kittens about Charr. Anything that involves Charr seems like it was just rushed and carelessly put together – backpieces, armors, animations. I had to work hard at making my Charr look less than kittened. I feel bad for those out there running around with ugly kitten Charr which is all to easy to create and hard to avoid.

They have adjusted some armors to fit Charr tails. Feathered armor and medium Priory set, for instance, both have a part of the armor removed (compared to what other races’ armor looks like) so that the tail can go through.
I don’t know if any changes have been made recently, though. Those changes may have existed when the game launched, or may have been added a month ago, I can’t say. I “think” I previewed the Priory medium at an earlier point and it was clipping (and as above, now it has a missing piece to allow for the tail) so its possible it was changed at a point more recent, but I could be mistaken on that.
At the very least they don’t seem completely oblivious to it. So with any luck, maybe its an ongoing thing.
There are quite a few of these sorts of issues that need to be addressed, though. Not just with Charr (though I’d consider Charr the worst offenders), but pretty much any non-human race. Even Sylvari, oddly enough despite the fact that they use the same model as humans, have some weird issues with clothing (specifically the fact that male sylvari skirts / coats puff out way too much at the bottom). So between all of the issues and the fact that they’re probably still making new stuff as well…. it’ll probably be pretty slow.
