The Charr Legions and the Molten Alliance
The Molten Alliance does not encompass all of the Flame Legion (or the Moletariate) though. Just like the Toxic Alliance, the members of the Molten Alliance are “heretics” who broke away from the orthodox faction to join the new group.
And even then, the other legions have already been at war with the Flame legion, so it’s not like anything has changed…
Oh but I think it has. The Flame Legion now has access to Dredge technology aaaaand a second psycho – Scarlet.
Even if only a faction of the Flame Legion is involved it is no less worrying. The Iron Legion now needs to compete with technology that is a combination of Charr and Dredge – no easy task. That addition changes the game.
The Ash Legion now needs to direct their direct attention to the Moletariate a lot more often – meaning more and new patrol routes.
The Blood Legion doesn’t get off easy either since now the Flame Legion patrols will now have access to better tech and equipment. The frontline has never been as “exciting” as it now – with a lot more soldiers needing services of the med centers.
The three Imperators will be doing a lot more of pacing and releasing stress at their practice range(s) more vigorously than normal. Then there is the distasteful need for asking for help to solve what is traditionally seen as an internal matter from outsiders …. ie the Pact and of the Orders of Tyria.

It doesn’t change the game, we’ve already proven that their alliance hasn’t been all that fruitful. They haven’t gained superpowers and we have managed to defeat all of eit creations thus far. Not to mention there are obvious differences between dredge and charr society and social structure, and given how into communism the dredge are I don’t see the alliance lasting. It was created under tenuous circumstances in huge first place, it isn’t built on a solid foundation for an alliance. As to them both having scarlet – they don’t, a recent dev talk showed how they’ve both become aware of how scarlet used them to get what she wanted and manipulated them both. So whilst the alliance may still be advantageous at the moment, they aren’t going to trust scarlet again.
The three remaining legions have already shown that they can work together to overcome foes, and the Charr are likely to work with the Norn to squash their foes – which would not be a big deal for them. The charr have a lot of admiration for the Norn, we’ve seen numerous examples of this throughout guild wars history and it makes sense given that both races appreciate strength and challenge.
