Vallus Smokemane. (spoilers)
… I killed him in single combat.
Whatever good intentions he had, I won’t let the alleged good intentions of one charr take precedence over the Legions. Never heard of his storyline again, I’m afraid.

I just finished that particular mission last night. I do hope what you experienced is a bug, I’d at least like to get a letter from him down the line at some point. There’s so much else going on that wasn’t explained during the missions themselves. Emer seemed to be hiding something, at least that's the impression I got. At the end Rytlock says Emer's initial report left a lot out and at several poins Vallus seems to be on the verge of dropping some vital info on how the whole situation started before he's interrupted. It would be very sad if we never were able to get more info on what happened before or after that story arc.
The entire conclusion to the personal story was very underwhelming. I was also excited to hear more about that story arc, among others I encountered, but I got nothing.
Whats the greater crime, being setup by your Legion Commander. Who lies to the Tribunal about events and then tries to make you kill your father personaly while getting commended for her actions.
Or setting him free and exposing the truth of the situation and stoping a incompotent leader from corrupting the Charr legions.
I thought he was going to come back later in the game, disappointed that this doesn’t happen. He doesn’t even send me mail.
Yeah it is a bit annoying given how we were told about your choices in the human story permenantly altering your home instance, that nothing I’ve done in my Charr storyline seems to have had any visable effects. My engineer’s father was the repentant shaman. And I helped him get a pardon, I’d have liked to see him actually living in my home instance somewhere, but never seen him on that character.
So… what happened to him? I chose to help him escape and he said he'd contact me later when things had settled, but he never did.
I’m completely done with all the personal story quests now. Was it like this for everyone, or is it a bug? At one point it sent me on a mission to rescue some lady I’d never heard of who supposedly helped me acquire an artifact I’d never seen before, so I’m wondering if my personal story got borked somehow.
You will likely never hear from him again in the personal story, though it’s possible your character is contacted outside the story and it’s never talked about. Simply put, each and every story arc is specific to that range of 10 levels, and it doesn’t branch beyond it. (although, supposedly, our home instance is supposed to change to reflect our choices in the personal story)
I’m more concerned about the simple fact that I recruited Soure Doomsday into my warband, but haven’t seen him since level 10, even though Elexus Shredskin still follows me around.
Why did I recruit him if he never helps me?
You know what they say about the leading man? He never dies.

I think this might be a bug as my friend had Soure show up for all missions up until the Orders quests begin. Incidentally I have a similar issue with my Iron legion storyline as I apparently aquired Cimmara Pistolwhip from the blood legion but she has yet to appear in any subsequent missions.

Actually he does, if you go up the tower/brackets thing he’s on one of the balconies. He doesn’t say anything though.
It’s a shame really, it feels like theres all kinds of interesting ideas they could have done with the personal story but they ended up streamlining it. I hope they eventually release “sideline” stories, even if they’re un voiced.

Where? I’ve looked everywhere for him and can’t seem to find him in my instance.
I’d really like some followup on this story as well. Or any continuation with my racial-specific story/side-characters (I also helped him escape).
+Felzza – Elementalist
+Roienna – Guardian
Yeah, one of the most disappointing things about the story is that it feels like different episodes that don’t connect. Suddenly, you’re just thrust into a new storyline with characters you’ve never interacted with before (Trahearne, anyone?), with no acknowledgement of what came before. It’s jarring.
Unfortunately the your Legion and Sire story lines end at level 20. Unfortunate since those were some of my favourite parts of the personal story. After level 20 when everyone’s personal stories start to merge, your story gets very un-Charr-ish.
Too bad, I was really looking forward to what happened in all three of the Sire story lines. Vallus has super secret stuff for you to find out about, the Flame Shaman father has his safety still in danger, any one of the four legions would probably love to kill him, and the Loyal Sire wtf where's my treasure hunt!!.
I’ve only done the Gladum story line outside of beta though, so mmmmaaaaayyyyybe the other story lines add bonus missions?

It is sad to see that after all these months there is no fix nor continuation to Charr personal stories. I also released Vallus and I was trying to dig a little to see if there is something important about what he is helping to clear and to where he flew away. By what I get from Rytlock’s last dialogue is that Vallus was in the middle of sabotaging something that might affect Charr and Human relationship, that he was framed to guard an idol that was intentionally left there with his entire warband so that it would arrive to the Separatists without the hassle of stealing it directly from the Citadel. I believe Emer didn’t know she was forced to play along with that, because she was way too narrow minded to question why they had to “walk” the idol outside the Citadel after it was found.
There is also a glitch on the finished story Misplaced Fate, saying that they managed to save Sesric when it is not true and the humans killed him after they got their hands on the idol.
I hope they retcon everything or at least the Honorless Gladium part, and make the Charr home to reflect their choices and give some dialogues to our warband members and such. I recall around Bloody Coast, there is an event in which a Risen general appears from the water gloating about your dead partner (with NAME and all) from one of the Orders and you need it to kill him, and it is the only time I see an event in-game recalling you from something about your personal story.
Charr personal stories need more love or more polishing after we are done with all these dragons, at least to make them less “sketchy”. Sorry for the necro but it still needs some attention.
