I saw this photo of a charr necromancer and i thought, how cool would it be if we could put on war paint in character creation?

Look at this photo and tell me that wouldn’t be awesome!

It would get stuck in the fur and my charr would have big lumps of paint everywhere and it woul just look really unproffesional.

Aside from that it could look quite cool though.

War paint? Probably not due to what zargnath said, but war spray? I’d like that.

Granted that’s pretty much semantics and no one would be able to tell how the paint was put on, but you can use custom dyes for fur in an airbrush to give unique colours and patterns to fur without the gunk buildup traditional paints tend to cause.

Though I don’t think warpaint should be restricted to character customization — GW1 had a number of armour sets which had tattoo components to them so to me it makes more sense to have tattoos/warpaint to be an armour or town clothes so everyone can have access to it.

It made me wonder that norn have tattoos in character creation but charr have no dye options. I mean you’re basically a huge fluffy walking canvas.

I guess war dye would would be pretty awesome, then you wouldn’t have the chunkiness of paint tada.

Can you imagine a charr about to go to war, in a salon getting his furr did?

In Skyrim they let you put war paint on both the Khajiit (cats) and Argorians (lizards). Maybe the war dye is applied when young, when the warband graduates?

I love all things Charr. They’re badkitten!

That would make very little sense. Fur doesn’t last forever. They’d just have to reapply it occasionally (which would make for some good options, incidentally, like a ’I’ve been out here too long to bother’ sort of look).
