since you are warrior warband is useless because SoR will be better of anything especially if you can put -20% signet cd in your build and get almost permanent swiftness and fury with a single skill…
The only time I seriously used Warband support, was when I really need additional targets to divert attacks away from me. It might be useful for reviving people during the Jade Maw fractal, to absorb attacks. Also, I found it mildly useful for soloing champions, where I just need another ability to avoid a couple incoming attacks.
It’s not a bad skill per-se, but more situational than anything else. The actual summons themselves are not hard hitters, so don’t expect to pop them and begin wasting things, bit they are decent distractions and depending on your legion affiliation, can offer different things. The blood has a ranged attacker and a melee. They do knockdow/knockback but hit fault weakly. They can do some minimal tanking for you. Ash do blinds and pulls. They are basically tankiet versions of the thieves guild skill just on longer cooldown. They hit pretty decently. Iron I’m pretty sure can do knockbacks using mines and are mediocre damage and survive pretty good. As a warrior though.h, I would caution against ignoring your actual warrior elites as they are far stronger and more useful for you. Honestly too, I would never use warband in wvw unless all you do is cap camps. NPC’s are the only things dumb enough for this skill to be effective on.

You have a melee NPC wich grants 3 stacks of might for 10sec and can throw a sword to cripple its target. And you have a Ranged NPC wich shoots your foes, has also a weaker version of Brutal Shot and lays a mine wich hardknocks everything around it for 4sec.

Are you sure that’s the case? I started playing well after the game release, and I definitely had Ash Legion warbandmates that did the standard “Ash Legion blind” attack.
Now if only I could summon my sparring partner from my personal story… :/

Pretty sure of it, I have 5 Charrs, 2 in the Blood Legion, 2 in the Iron Legion and 1 in the Ash Legion and every time I use this skill I get exactly the same 2 generic NPCs, with the same skill sets, no matter wich legion I chose.
But I do remember back in beta, Warband Support was summoning some of the generic NPCs found around Ascalon. For instance Iron Legion had the current Sharpshooter with the mine and an Iron Legion Grenadeer with a Net Turret while on the other hand the Ash Legion would use an Assassin with blinds, a lifedrain and hearthseeker (don’t remember the second NPC).
when i saw warband support thought it would call out two random members or 3 members of your story warband like say Dinky and the wraith guy and stuff like that but have their powers slightly kitten like how dnd did with followers and cohorts.

It would be great if the “Warband Support” was the actual members of your warband from the Personal Story. Further in, more Charr to help you. That would be awesome! But it isn’t. It’s generic members of the Legion you’re in. So sad.

I’d like to join and participate in that experiment. Be cool if 20-30 people were playing all charr and used warband support at 30 people you’d get 60 charr allies. xD
