I found another charr player in game who, going by the lore would be in the same war band as mine. I thought it would be interesting to see others charrs names that would be in your war band.

My current charr are
Dhagar Smokeskin – Smoke war band
Reiga Sharptooth – Sharp war band

Your war band name can be ether the first or last word in a charrs second name
Examples: Stone Warband- Rytlock Brimstone , Rox Whetstone

I have three Charr:

Moody Madeye, Centurion of the Iron Legion Eye Warband,
Palak Warmaster, Centurion of the Blood Legion Master Warband, and
Kailan Hiddenpaw, Legionaire of the Ash Legion Hidden Warband.

Kerron Doombreaker: Blood Legion warrior, Doom warband
Qasha Mindrender: Ash Legion mesmer, Render warband

The next time character slots go on sale, I’ll also make an Iron Legion engineer. Her first name is undecided yet, but the last name will like be Sparkstrike, of the Spark warband.

Elan Axisaver of the Axis warband, Ash Legion thief. Last confirmed survivor of the Axis warband. (The rest were Charr from my former guildmates, who have since quit.)

Both of my charr are in the same warband. I make sure all of my characters are connected somehow.

…My fourth charr, Albane Memorykeeper, was in the Gore warband for a brief stint as “Gorememory”, but her ethics were at odds with Nyoka’s, so she ended up leaving and is now a gladium…. so her name doesn’t match the others.

Warband names are not trademarked, just because that other random guy you saw has the same Warband name as you doesn’t mean that you are in the same one.

The reason why I didn’t toss my Guardian into the same Warband was because it was the name of my first beta character, and I had grown attached to it.

My non-Charr characters’ names also follow naming conventions, of course.

Griever Stormlion – Storm Warband (Born in Lion’s Arch and moved to the Fahrar a little older than is usual, took the name to remember where he came from, and as part of his overall Final Fantasy 8 reference)
Hugo Clashcannon – Clash Warband (noted for having a talent with heavy artillery unusual even for an Iron Legion warband)
Madeen Cinderthorn – Thorn Warband (Ex-Flame Legion, ran for the hills when she was caught teaching herself Elemental Magic in secret, wound up with the Ash Legion)

Brax Redreaver – Reaver warband, Blood legion, heavy infantry
Bathos the Bow – (originally Sureshot) Shot warband, Ash legion, sniper cohort
Ferrous Blackclaw – Black warband, Iron legion, engineering and sapping cohort.
Broccha Tailtwister – Twister warband, Ash legion, special opps

Legionnaire Krushak Doomblade – Doom warband, on extended assignment as special liaison to the Vigil.

Although Krushak still thinks of himself as part of the Doom warband, he’s grown quite fond of his new “adopted” warband, consisting of a fellow Vigil Tactician (Melissandre du Rin, Human Female Mesmer), two Durmand Priory representatives (Magister Ploop the Didactic, Male Asura Elementalist, and Explorer Velda Frostborn, Female Norn Ranger) and one Order of Whispers agent (Ishyal, Female Sylvari Necromancer).

Since the game doesn’t give any lore help for new players when creating a character, I came up with that name without knowing how charr names worked. My friends now joke I’m part of the “Raw” warband, and my warbandmates just added a “r” to my name to be snarky. Sure sounds like Euryale.

Commander ‘Black’ Marris Forgefire, Iron Legion, Forge warband – Artillery Captain on loan to the Durmand Priory. Has posthumously adopted Magister Sieran into the warband for ‘acts of extreme courage in the face of the enemy’.

Legionnaire Mogrin ‘Bloody’ Redfang, Blood Legion, Fang warband – Footslogging grunt, still rebuilding his warband after the ghosts fiasco. Hates his commanding officers; all of them.

Khala Bloodgrave- Grave Warband of the Blood legion. Khala, was named after Kalla Scorchrazor, who turned the tide against the flame legion, by training in secret with her fellow females to fight them. She had taken the surname of Blood as it has run through her bones since she was a cub, she knew she was blood before even getting to the fahar.

The name of grave was taken as there warband after steel had been overthrown, it was a stronger warband, built upon the corpses of those who defied the legions.

My charr is Ulthar Fangrend; an engineer agent of the Ash Legion, Lightbringer in the Order of Whispers, commander of the Pact, and legionnaire of the Rend Warband.

I’ve probably broken the lore in a few places. I dunno the lore on Battalion names, Company names, or if Battalion is even the right hierarchy.

Clawdia Wolfrunt – Ash legion engineer. she was originally iron legion but due to her size they thought ash would suit her best.
she’s super tiny and her war band is called Wolf

And yeah it’s weird there’s an Ash warband in the Ash legion. But it was next on the list of warband names, so it was assigned to us and there’s not much we could do about it.

When I was in Farrah, some of the other Charr picked on me saying I was probably going to name myself Ashy Ashash. ears flit down at bad memories

Lorewise, two of my Charr were made after seeing that Clawspur looks more like a Warband name than an actual name name. Thus…

My third is a Blood Legion Mesmer, Riah Steelheart, and according to her story(and all Blood Legion Charr), hers is the Steel warband.

My(Our) Guild’s name is ’It’s A Trap!’ (a multigaming community originally started as a SWTOR guild)

So naturally, when some of us started the idea of a Charr Warband our warband name was gonna be ‘Trap’ and we felt that the Ash Legion would be the best out of the three to utilise the most diverse group of professions.
Thus came into existence the Trap warband of the Ash Legion. A covert commando team, its members can always be found on the front lines hitting where it hurts. Thought not like some Blood Legion cannonfodder going into the meatgrinder, but more like a rapier made for precise piercing hits.
All of our members are also on the Order of Whispers’ agents list, but duty to the Legion comes first.

Our Centurion is Tybalt Trapjaw, a Guardian wielding a cursed hammer
The Legionnaire and second in command would be me, Rava Clawtrap, a Warrior and marksman
Our resident Thief is Ketukas Soultrap and she might have a tongue that’s sharper then her daggers.
Coming back from retirement is Foggy Mindtrap, an Elementalist. Even the wildlife is not safe around that guy.
A young addition to our roster is Kharr Shieldtrap, another Guardian. Although he’s young and bold, in time he will earn his place on the front lines.

And as with any healthy Charr Warband, our roster keeps changing. Casualties of war are ever so common these days and new members keep dripping in.

My charr is Scytha Voidripper, of the Ripper warband. Once I get another character slot, I’m gonna make a warrior, and his first name is undecided, but his last name will be Throatripper.

My warband is the Doom Warband of Blood Legion:

Doomblade? You literally took my guardian’s whole last name.

LOL, well, that’s kind of to be expected. It’s not the most unique last name. There’s only so many combinations to go around too. I’m certain that two Charr must have shared the same warband name at some point.

Nolani Stormshield (engineer) – Second in command of the former Iron Legion Shield warband. Now technichally a gladium in the employ of the Durmand Priory as a Magister, lending her expertise in alchemy and firearms to the practical branch of the order.

Kanna Lightweave (guardian) – Runt of the Weaver warband; known for it’s wide range of expert fletchers, smiths, and mechanics. Found no aptitude with typical craftmanship – instead finding a talent for drawing on inner strength and projecting sheer force of will through others to provide inspiration and even restorative capability on the battlefield.

Kalith Seerbane (warrior) – Legionnaire of a lesser known Blood Bane warband. Born of a shady shamanistic sire, he’s not shy about his distrust of magic and dislike of the Flame Legion. About as level headed as you can expect from a soldier in the Blood legion – a tactician and strategist, but not afraid to leap into the thick of the action.

Garah Emberbane, of the Bane Warband. Alas, he’s been assigned to the Vigil away from them for some time. And after winning the right to his own command, then assembling his own handpicked group. I hear Eurayle is leading now.

Calurn Nitehaze, Mesmer of Ash. Although a scoundrel his strange and interesting approach to objectives and uncanny ingenuity has proven useful in missions.
Morna Niteblaze, Engineer of Iron. Being the most diplomatic of the three, she is the leader.

Rask Springpaw. I actually was trying for a fair while to think of a more…I don’t know, normal last name but Springpaw just kept jumping in my face so I had to take it. So uh, Rask Springpaw of the….paw….warband?
