Do you even lift, bro?
Why isn't Rytlock's armour red?
Do you even lift, bro?
According to the wiki page, he has little to do with his warband and killed his way up to Tribune, Klingon-style. Plus he was in Destiny’s Edge. To normal charr, he’s at best a weirdo, so wearing whatever armor he wants isn’t too odd.
Plus, who else but an equal ranked Charr would even dare to question his fashion sense?

Centurion (your-name-here) possibly at some point? Rytlock would propably just laugh it off, looking how much he gives in to player character.

Well, it seems that Charr society as a whole has agreed on the colours of the three Legions, so…

I think everybody lets it slide because of his RED FLAMING SWORD OF DEATH.
PvE Main – Zar Poisonclaw – Daredevil
WvW Main – Ghost Mistcaller – Herald
It could be because Rytlock associates himself more with Destiny’s Edge or with the Charr society as a whole rather than one single legion. I mean, yah, he’s a Blood Legion tribune technically, but he acts as a leadership role for many Charr in general (as evidenced by the fact that he takes command of all Charr characters regardless of legiokittenome point during the personal story and his role during the events like Fire and Frost) so perhaps he wants to use an armor coloration independent of any single legion. His silver armor doesn’t particularly match Iron Legion either, especially with the brown / gold secondary coloring, its basically neutral.
A Tribune is not the head of a legion. The title of Imperator is reserved for that. The title of Tribune is more like a Field General, but plays a similar role as a Colonel, as evidenced by his leading the raid against Barradin’s Crypt.

The guy was in Destiny’s Edge. I’d let him wear whatever color armor he wants.
In fact if he wanted to wear a quaggan outfit the only thing I would comment is, “I think that eye button is coming loose sir.”
I also want to point out, that historically officers do wear different colours and identifiers so that soldiers can recognize rank, even at a distance.

Charr don’t need fashion sense. They’ll cut the sense out of you.

You don’t understand charr at all.
For charr, strength is everything, authority only comes to second.
Rytlock a weirdo to other charrs? You joking right?
If you do play a charr, you can tell everyone respects, and even frightened the great tribune of blood legion: Rytlock Brimstone.

So much win in this.
Somewhere out in the net a person furiously draws up Rytlock in a Quaggan suit and I feel like I’ve helped contribute to some little bit of insanity.
Are all the ones which don’t have legion colours on of no particular alignment? I never really took the colours as mandatory in all situations, and if they’re not, it probably serves largely to identify them (for instance in one of the Ash legion missions where there’s a set of false-flag attacks by Flame). In that case he might feel (probably correctly) that he doesn’t need to worry too much about that.

The GW2 Wiki says most charr think Rytlock is a bit wierd. NPCs mention it, too.
I would imagine one you get up in the ranks, the colors aren’t mandatory. Or maybe they never are. Also, Rytlock’s armor at least partially the Adamant Guard gear? Isn’t that the more strange thing about him?
I think I read in Destiny’s Edge the book that he got at least some of that armor from either one of their victories when they fought in the arena, or on one of their adventures slaying the dragon lieutenants. I don’t have the book to reference just now, letting a family member borrow it.
~Surrender fiend and you will get an easy death
~I could promise you the same…but it would be a lie…
Rytlock is considered wierd but not for killing his way to the top. he’s weird for voluntarily seperating himself from his warband on occasions and colaborating with a human before there was ever a treaty. Which causes some charr to question his loyalty to his warband and even disreguard him reguardless of his rank. But Rytlock is quick to “remind” them that he no longer counts Logan as an ally.
All his concept art has him in a sweet red cape.

Rytlock Brimstone. he is poetry in motion, if poetry could stab you with a FLAMING SWORD OF DEATH!

You mean the human-made sword he looted from Ascalon?
Fear The Crazy [Huns]
Yeah, the same.
Who cares where Sohothin’s from or who made it? What matters is who owns it and is wielding it in battle.
Technically, Rurik lost Sohothin in the shiverpeaks anyway, when the Stone summit dwarves dropped an avalanche on him. So Rytlock would have dug it up in the shiverpeaks not Ascalon.

actually, Rurik was still using it in the ring of fire islands. when you fight him, if i remember correctly, hes fighting with Sohothin in grasp. Rytlock must have gotten it from there.
