I kind of agree. It strikes me as really strange that the charr, arguably one of the more progressive races, would be doing a tribal “dance”

Without music it sucks.

Noone can really tell were dancing.

We look like were struggling to take a dump.

I like the Maori dance. They need more sticking out of the tongue, however.

I was dancing in LA last night with some other players, and someone mentioned that I looked like I was mashing grapes.

Other than /surprised and /threaten, our emotes are terribad. I like my ranger to much to reroll though, I’d give up some hefty gems to get a race change =D

The Haka loses a lot of its effect without the sound of dozens of Maori shouting in your face.

To each their own haha, I think the Haka is fitting/fun to watch. Does need more tongue sticking out though.

Asura dance is best dance.

But

None can deny the power of 15+ Charr all perfectly starting a sync’d Haka while in formation. I, too wish for the angry chanting to accompany it.

The asura dance is definitely cool.

I think your post highlights an interesting point — some dances are terrific even solo, others are amazing in groups. One or two charr dancing is kind of underwhelming to me.

Though I’d argue all of them are fun in synch’d groups.

It would be a blast if the animators had any spare time to pop in a few more dance animations for more variety.

/\ That is something that ANet should really put in an update. I think the Charr need a better dance. And from an earlier post, /sleep and /sit are good too.

In theory they could have lots of dances… plenty of unused commands.

In related news, I was sad to discover that ‘/poke @’ is an unknown command.

Honestly surprised they didn’t give the carlton dance to charrs since you can play on words and call it the “charrlton.”

If anything I’d swap norn and charr dances, although that’d require giving a norn a more appropriate tribal dance.

I think charr don’t need shuffle we need hardstyle haha XD
