I wanna make one but I don’t feel like the lore behind it makes sense. I need to play a class/race that has some solid lore behind it. someone persuade me to roll one?

The Flame Legion is condemned more for their worship of false gods and longtime oppression of the other legions than for the fact they have a preference for fireballs. The Flame Legion remains the most “magical” legion – that was their strength, and their overthrow in part has driven charr achievements in technology. That sums it up about as well as can be. Centuries of war have made Charr practical, above all else. Any legionnaire worth their fur will find a use for someone a band-mate who can scorch away ghosts and shatter branded with boulders.

As dustfinger said, most flame legion shamans are charr eles anyway, so if you wanna play that route, you can make up some story about not falling to their evil ways.

I made a Charr ele and placed him in the Ash Legion. The way I looked at it who better to infiltrate and learn the secrets of the Flame Legion then a Charr elementalist who could blend in easily and gain their trust.

Nothing much imo.He probably just likes making pretty lights and wearing armor made of silk and linen instead of the generic heavy-duty steel.To hell with all the other charr screaming gaaaaaaaaaay at him,he can always watch Disney channel and do some quiet ballet by himself when he’s feeling down.Or he’s just a furry James Bond on a high-risk mission that doesn’t allow him to carry any personal items,hence he’s forced to learn the nature of the elements to light his cigar when in a pinch w/o resorting to an inconvenient flint stone.
