350 Charged Lodestones?!
Farming the lodestones is unrealistic. I get 3 cores and 1 lodestone on average per 10 CoE runs. Farming the money for them seems to be the way to go
I find that charged lodestones, along with various other lodestones, are easier to obtain. Fractals of the Mists has generously lowered the prices of lodestones since one generally obtains a fragment of a lodestone or a lodestone itself at the end of each fractal. Assume a decrease in prices relatively soon (days or weeks to come).
Also, think about how you’ll feel once all that hard work pays off after you get that lengendary. Feels good man.

Ouch 3 cores and 1 lodestone for 10 runs don’t seem like it’s worth it. What type of gold farm do you get in return from CoE (selling loot drops to merchants) per run?
I’ve farmed CoF many many times and the event to open the gates net a bit of silver but whats in the chests in the exp modes are pretty much garbage.

Well thats good news then, I really hope prices continue to drop.
Also Mjolnir isn’t a Legendary weapon it’s a Mystic Forge exotic weapon.

well with the new dungeon bags of wondrous goods drops, you do get a bit of silver each run. and last time i did CoE, two days ago? i got a core and also one rare at least. (wasn’t running with a lot of MF) and other loot from bosses. of course small sample size.. and i won’t say it’s as much gold as a plinx / cursed shore run, but at least you’re not only going for lodestones and getting nothing in return.
and if you’re not going for the armour or weapons… i assume you can do this, you can always exchange for weapons / armour and then salvage them, hope for ori and gossamer, and sell the runes / sigils, other mats or ectos for gold.

Decent gold gain from CoE. Get the typical silver for beating it, + one of the bosses in route 2/3 drops 10 silver. Each run should net you ~50 silver minimum after selling garbage drops, with a chance to get a core/lodestone.
The downside is CoE is a longer/slower dungeon to complete compared to other speed run dungeons. Also, anet bugged route 1 which was the fastest route before. When lodestones were going for 2g50silver, i farmed CoE like mad since it was definitely more profitable. With the slight drop in lodestone prices though, i’m not sure anymore.

Holy crap, in about 100 or so runs of CoE, I’ve only gotten one lodestone ever. I would kill to have your luck!

350 charged lodestones kitten /p>
Thanks a lot for the feedback guys, I think I’m going to run CoE as much as I can.
I’m aware CoE runs are typically long but which path is a viable “speed run”? And roughly how long does it take to complete?
In Morgan’s Leap there’s a spot where you can farm infinitely spawning sparks as part of one of the temple quests. The average is 1-2 charged lodestones per hour so throw on your MF gear, get a friend or two, buy a MF potion and eat a omnom for MF.

Oh that’s awesome! Thanks for the feedback, I’ll have to check that for sure!! Can you point me in the right direction on the map? Eg. South east, north west?

Not true. the price of Charged Lodestones & Charged Cores has actually INCREASED since FotM. Cores were at 48s & are not as 86s.
The Lodestone droprate is insanely low. I’ve farmed for about 10hrs for Charged & Corrupted Lodestones & i’ve received 1 Corrupted. I know the game was all “no grind” but the “optional” grind is hilariously bad
Just save up about 700 gold and you can buy them.
Easy right?
Aren’t lodestones dropping more in fracs?

True to a degree, have done around 60 Fractals now and gotten 6 Charged Cores and a couple of Onyx cores and Onyx Loadstones.. So they do drop more in Fractals, just need to get the right Fractal for the drops.. Same for t6 Mats, they drop quite alot above lv8.
Don’t expect ANet to do anything against it because its simply not in their interest to prevent people from spending more gold through their gold sinks or buying gems with real money. Basically all F2P games use that model and there is nothing different about Guild Wars 2. “You wanna Sunrise? Give dollars! Give dollars!”
