I really hope it won’t just be another way to get ascended jewelry/infusions. It doesn’t offer anything other of a stepping stone to ascended as is.

I don’t know what else they could do with it though. : /

Not necessarily. They could allow crafting of backpiece by leveling up to 500, but no ascended one, just exo.

Exactly, fractals have been the sole source of ascended backs for 10 months – I think it is time for another source. There are a lot of people that do not run dungeons in this (or any other) MMO.

Um, my Sclerite Karka Shell back piece is ascended and didn’t come out of the fractals.

Karka is one per account… and with stats that aren’t very useful to many builds.

DC recently said they would be adding in ascended backs to WvW (idk how this will be implemented though).

I hope they take Jewelry to 500 as well, it needs it.

Hope to see Ascended jewelry craftable with r500 too. Especially if it keeps the trend from Ascended weapons and have an upgrade slot AND an infusion slot. This ought to be fair, considering the cost involved in crafting Ascended gear and the fact it’s fairly easy to obtain non-customisable Ascended rings from Fractals/Laurels/guild commendations.

You still need to do fractals for the vial for those.

because they require vials from Fractals, and are not craftable, but come from the mystic toilet.
