A Decision to make..
make eternity!

Whatever your decision, congrats to you for your crazy awesome luck.
Don’t make Eternity. It’s cheaper to buy Eternity off the TP than it is to make it yourself (this is because a lot of players “unlocked” Sunrise & Twilight skins, then made Eternity and sold Eternity to recover some money, while keeping the unlocked Sunrise/Twilight skins).
If you would like Eternity, sell Dusk, finish up Sunrise, sell Sunrise, then buy Eternity, you will save somewhere around 1000-1500g, even after taxes, than if you make it yourself.
If you insta-sold Colossus I think it may have gone to me having bought mine yesterday :P

Make Sunrise, Sell Sunrise, Sell Dusk, Buy Eternity. You will save about 1600G compared to making them both then crafting it.
Happy to be of service, Flissy.
Good advice, too. I’m guessing that the skin is unlocked when you craft the item? Not that it matters, I suppose.
Sounds like a plan – seems I ought to buckle down and start doing dungeon runs. Thanks, all.
**ETA. Doy. Yah, you can unlock the skin and still sell the item…

I’ll try to clarify.
I, for example, have Sunrise. I’ve had it for a few months. If I craft Twilight now, use Twilight to unlock that skin too, then craft & sell Eternity, I will unlock the Twilight skin, keep my Sunrise skin (but lose the Legendary weapon itself, obviously), and be able to sell the Eternity for more than Twilight would have cost to craft.
A lot of players in a similar to position to me seemed to not care about the Legendary itself, and chose to recoup some of their cost while unlocking the partner skin too.
It’s a little convoluted and difficult to explain, but that is the reason buying Eternity is a lot cheaper than crafting it (it costs approximately 5,000g to craft given “perfect” clovers, but only costs ~4000g on a waiting order).
This won’t always be the case, people in situations like mine will diminish in time and the equilibrium will re-establish itself.

Besides congratulating you for your legendary luck, I wanted to add that you can get the AC tokens (or any dungeon tokens, for that matter) really easily. There are 3 options:
1) Choose the dungeon you need, join a lfg and follow the people or ask nicely what to do. Even if you’re not zerker, it shouldn’t take more than 15 minutes per path with an experienced nice group.
2) Some dungeon tokens are awarded for levels in the reward track of PvP. So if you need AC tokens, you can complete the AC reward track as many times as you want. Although this is highly inefficient, if PvP’s your thing, then go for it.
3) Just buy dungeons. Especifically for AC, there is a great amount of people that farm the dungeon for you. You can enter, pay the amount they require (not high for AC), they complete it for you and you get the daily gold and token reward.
Enjoy your legendary/legendaries!
If I had your luck, I wouldn’t need mind.
Have fun making decisions.
3) Sell ‘em both
Very easy choice to make here.
With the gold you get from selling these 2, plus what you already have from selling Colossus, you should have enough to buy any legendary you want.
I would like to have to make this kind of decision lol
But I don’t get why you tried to tossed GS and Hammer in the mystic forge in the first place. Did you buy them in order to try to made more money? Or did you only toss the weapons you had in your inventory to see what you would get?
Ascalonian Catacombs became easier recently. Also, 1.5 gold a pop is pretty good. If you have an ele you will be all set as long as you equip frostbow. Also, be up front about letting groups know that it is your first time. It also wouldn’t hurt to have a look at gw2dungeons.net, or go to the dungeon forum here and look at the dungeon mentor post (stickied near the top).

Every now and again I try my luck. I’ll buy the cheapest exotics off the TP, and see if I get anything good. It’s gambling, pure and simple, for the thrill of it. Sometimes it pays off.
You should deffenty go for eternity, cause with the cash if you decide to sell and use the extra cash to have some fun with I.E max crafting of your choice and put some infuson in to your gear you could in theroy spend dat cash and get max stat cap
So someone who haven’t even played the first dungeon of the game gets 2 precursors in one day and already got the third?
Yeah, @ArenaNet this sounds completely right!!!! His gameplay must be legendary for sure!

I agree with this. I don’t mean to be rude, and I’m honestly happy for the OP’s luck, but I dislike the way that the most expensive component of a legendary is purely luck based. I’ve had my gift of mastery and mystic clovers finished for a year and I haven’t gotten any amazing drops at all. Granted I did take a break to focus on college,
If it were me, I’d require that a precursor be bought with 1000 tokens from each dungeon including fractal relics. Making these grand weapons should be about skill and perseverance instead of luck and wealth, especially when the luck and wealth components are already captured by the gift of fortune and the weapon specific gifts.
Anyway, because of my lack of luck and my inability to farm that much gold from the TP (stuff waiting to sell for a while, but I’m gradually increasing in theoretical wealth), I’ve decided to give up my original goal of the bifrost and go for the minstrel instead because I think I’d actually be able to afford it in a reasonable time frame because its precursor is so cheap and most of the gift of fortune can be farmed from doing boss blitz 24/7.
Well, I guess I just vented my frustrations on your thread. Well have fun with AC, and hopefully you’ll have elementalists with you to completely trivialize the dungeon in every way.
Taking a break from GW2 to play various
Nintendo games..
I just don’t get why they didn’t do what is logical – legendary should be a token of skill and dedication, not a token of dedication and luck. Seeing some player with a legendary doesn’t mean anything…
With the new PvP reward tracks, you can use them to get some dungeon tokens. Almost enough I thing for one Gift, but not for two. You just need to unlock them with a story mode run, or wait until they open on a schedule.
You got 2 precursors in a matter of minutes…

Okay. I think I got that out of my system.
OP can buy the path with under 3g per path. You’ll get 60 tokens + 1.7g back.
