Isnt it supposed to auto level you 10 levels?

On alts, I’ve gotten into the habit of getting them 400 cooking, as it’s relatively cheap.

Without a Crafting Booster, I go from level 2 (fresh) to level 15 (nearly level 16), progressively, as I level cooking to 400.

Arguably though, getting all 8 crafts to 400 should get you to 80 with a little extra effort in the world. So while it’s not an auto-10 levels (& I’m not sure where you’ve got this from), it’s more or less right.

You get experience as you gain crafting levels which totals to around 10 levels. You don’t get another 10 levels once you hit 400.

No, you get 10 levels worth of xp while leveling the craft from 1-400.

Though if you craft while under level 15 or so you may gain an extra level or two as the experience curve is different for the low levels.

Correct. The entire process gives you 10 levels. As you can double check on the wiki, every point will give you some percentage based xp, every 100 pionts an extra bit and a big chunk at 400. All those add up to a nice 10 levels.

In reality, you get 1/8 of the experience required to get to level 80, not 10 levels. So if you did your entire 1-400 craft at level 2, you’d get something like 14-16 (something like that) levels instead of 10 (because lower levels require much less experience).

If you do this at 80 would you get 10 skillpoints?

I believe you would gain 10 skill points

Xp given is a % of a lvl (If im not wrong), so yes your get 10 skill points

Why anyone would use crafting to level upto 15 is beyond me surely 60-70 then 70-80 makes more sense, then get some decent armor (yellow) and complete all the high zones for rewards.

If its too skip the starter area your crazy, by far the best rewards for lvl are found there, chillies FTW
