I just received this reply from gw support. Is this correct?

“Although you have now the Tailoring ability, let me tell you that you can actually move all 8 of the learning abilities to 500 but you can only have 2 available at all times.”

I think they may have jumped the gun there a bit…

currently only 3 can get to level 500 (huntsman, artificer, weaponsmith).
the other 5 can only get to level 400
3 of those are expected to be able to get to level 500 soon – before the end of the year (armorsmith, tailor, leatherworker)
that just leaves jeweler and chef. good to know those will be able to get to 500. I wonder what they’ll be able to make?

What they’re trying to say is true, but I think it came out wrong.

What they mean is that you can progress all 8 crafting disciplines on one character, but you can only have 2 active at a time. It costs money to switch back to one that you already have progress in based on your crafting level, but its not very expensive.

Only 3 of the 8 can get to 500, so “you can actually move all 8 of the learning abilities to 500” isn’t true yet, but it should be once the other 5 can.
