I noticed there are a large amount of certain embellished jewels selling for way under what it costs to make them. I know some items naturally do this, but these wouldn’t act like that, because they make valuable rares and can cost an ectoplasm to make. So, are there certain droppable trinkets that salvage to embellished jewels or something? Any help?

some embelllished jewels you can get as a reward while doing your class quest. 1 or 2 if I remember correctly. Maybe this is where those cheap come from. Also many ppl sell stuff below the cost of production to earn quick gold (or just do not realise the fact that materials used cost more then the final product).

Hmm the volume being sold is too high for them to be story rewards. This also isn’t one of the items that really fits into the category of underselling by a ton after crafting, and they are less than half the cost of similar/same-tiered jewels.

Niodyne, it depends on your definition of ‘cost to make them’. If you run around playing the game, mine the nodes yourself and salvage the ectos yourself, then the components for the embellished jewels have not actually cost anything. Not everybody buys the materials from the TP, and not everybody thinks to sell the individual components and make better money.

The jewels created via the karma recipes are also a good sources of experience, and can help level you up, so people are going to make them (whether they need one or not). However, they are upgrades and can’t be salvaged, so if you don’t need them yourself, all you can do is sell them or give them away.

You can salvage them out of rare accessory drops from dungeons above level 70. That’s where the extra supply comes from.
