I am a master crafter with 4 level 500s so been doing this a while.

One thing I can’t work out is how to add a rune to a piece of armour or sigil to a weapon without it becoming soulbound to me. I can’t do it by discovery as the sigils or runes never appear to be used.

I also think I have gaps in my recipes – have all recipes from Master Weaponsmith but there seems to be gaps at various levels as I see some “in between” items on the TP. I have picked up a few extras in my travels but not many.

Spent a lot of time on Wiki and Google but cannot find these answers – I mean quite a few hours. I have also read what I can about the mystic forge but find no answer there.

Any help would be appreciated please.

You can’t add upgrades to armor or weapons without soulbinding them. That’s the way it works. Any armor or weapons you see on the TP that have sigils in them are looted or created by the Mystic Forge, as those two sources can come with sigils and runes pre-slotted. But as far as crafting an item then adding a Sigil or Rune to it after, no. That always results in a soulbound item, and there’s no way to craft a rune or sigil directly into a piece of gear either, its always done after the fact.

Not sure what you mean by “in-between weapons” exactly, but there are a few weapon types which you either need to have special ingredients for or which require you to buy recipes from special vendors. Those include the Godskull weapons, the Beaded weapons, the Corrupted weapons, and the Destroyer weapons.

I was referring to recipes in between what you can get from the Master Weapon Smith – I have those you mention but my wife picked up a level 27 Green today from TP for example so it must have been a looted one. I cannot make a level 27 anything.
