Ascended Back Pieces?
I Know they been out forever but i was just wondering what the difference is between the ascended rings/accessories/amulets? why is the least giving item the hardest to craft? whats the point of making it so expensive. I have 4 toons and i dont have any 1 of them fully ascended trinket wise but all of them have 3 to 4 pieces so im deciding to just finish my main but just got to wondering lol. this isnt a complaint or QQjust a legit thought and question?
Ascended gear is requirement for fractals becouse of Agony resistence. And also WvW players want them to be stronger. Not only for WvW of course, higher stats are good everywhere.
One ascended item makes no difference but full ascended can and probably will be noticeable.
And to prevent some that would say i am wrong…..Yes exept fractal you can do everything without them and in 50 people vs 50 difference in gear is not that great, if the first 50 is not full ascended and second rare/exotic….
thnx for the response and i def understand the importance of ascended items as far as what they provide, but my question was why is the back piece the standout. All the other pieces can be obtained by laurels or laurel+WvW badges or laurel+ectos things like that. But why is the piece that literally if u don’t fotm its not even worth the 140g’ish that it would take to craft if u were to start from scratch at this moment. Only reason i can see is for the fotm farmers its a extra way to gain AR but if ur not one those players then making the back piece probably wouldnt even benefit u as u could spend the money somewhere else. I was just wondering what is the point of not making this obtainable the same way as all the other pieces?

If you are are no fractal player Capacitors, Quivers and books will be probably just some special skin for you. Game is full of expensive items that have only visual purpose. So if you dont need it for infusion it is just another visual improvement. In my opinion there are no better looking backpacks then ascendeds (and that is good becouse of their price) so they are worth, just like cultural T3 or legendary or vision of the mists or something….is worth
