I can’t find any and Dulfy says you can’t use totems (no cleric options then.)

Come on Arena.net, you can’t just DEITEMIZE a playstyle.

They de-itemized several playstyles.

You basically get 4 choices: full dunk berserker, tanky condition damage, baby’s first tank soldier’s, and magic find. The itemization for hybrid condition damage offense, tanky dps, and team support is not represented at all in ascended gear.

You don’t even get upgrade slots to mix and match your stats.

I’m massively disappointed in how pigeon-holed the ascended gear is trying to make me be.

Hybrid condition damage is terrible, because you have high precision with little to no crit damage and you have lower condition damage then those that use Prec/Tough/Condition. (which is by far the absolute best stat combo for condition builds because of runes of undead +5% toughness added to condition and then food that does the same thing)

Tanky DPS is supported by the Power/Toughness/Crit damage which synergizes perfectly with a knights set of armor, Which i will use on my warrior.

Either way Tanky DPS is supported in new stat combos on asended gear, (infact more so then before the new combo) And trying to pull hybrid damage+ condition is just bad so there is really no need for rampagers, However I remember rampagers stats being availible. If you go to GW2db you can find it there.

I’m just farming token and waiting for the patch between now and the end of the universe that adds ascended cleric.

You have gotten what you paid for, all that remains is biweekly gemshop pushing.

Remember reading somewhere, that the new Apothecary’s line is supposed to replace Cleric’s. But maybe that’s only for exotics and below.

You can’t “replace” cleric gear.
Apothecary and Cleric gear should both exist just like power/crit and condition/crit gear should both exist.

This is just negligence on the part of Anet. It has to be an oversight. If not then what’s next?

Even if you don’t use cleric gear (or any of the other missing stat sets) don’t just sit on the sidelines. Your stat set could be next.

If they’re going to put it out there they better support it all the way.

Hybrid condition damage is terrible

Hybrid condition damage gear is much, much stronger than the pure condition damage gear for a clear majority of characters. You don’t get to actually play a pure condition damage character, well, ever; every skill has a normal damage component, and every weapon set has skills that don’t inflict condition damage at all. The goal in gearing your offense isn’t to have the biggest crit numbers, nor to have the biggest numbers on your bleed ticks, but to have the highest possible aggregate damage output from your most effective skill usage patterns, and that generally points to Rampager’s.

You don’t get to pick and choose your skills to match a gear combination; your skills are fixed by your weapon choice, and you should gear around that. Most ‘condition builds’ are just people mindlessly stacking one stat because it’s easy to understand and gives a big number, but it is not anywhere near as effective as cobbling together the right combination of stats from different pieces. Sure, a 100% Rampager’s set with no critical damage is far from optimal, but a 75% Rampager’s set with ~70 bonus crit damage is very strong.

Not having any critical chance gets a big frown. All the tanky DPS builds I know of are going to re-arrange around using the Berserker’s rings in the short term, as those are more effective than trying to distort around the Cavalier pieces. It’s possible that you can float a few of the Cavalier pieces and build around those, but there certainly isn’t potential for much more than that; it’s just too awkward a stat combo and the necessary supporting pieces do not exist.
