Q:
Ascended Jeweler
They probably will at some point. I think that Jeweler 500 got pushed back as a low priority item because ascended accessories were already in the game. Implementation of weapons and armor were prioritized because they added something that was previously unavailable.
Ascended Jewler and Cook will come with the precursor crafting. After you completed some horrible grind you have the refine some stuff using one or both of them.
Don’t expect trinkets to be craftable. They are basically the only reason for a lot of people doing guild missions and collecting laurels. Instead of crafing you buy them or create them in the mystic forge. Doubt they will ever change this, unless they remove these currencies from the game…
What you can expect is that ascended gear will be salavagable (think of people with tons of ring from fractals…)
Since ascended armor-crafting is introduced with the wintersday patch, I was wondering if there ever will be ascended jewelery crafting. I know that it is possible to buy ascended jewelry – which made the entire jeweler futile (except for leveling purposes) -, but since I am a fan of crafting I was just curious if it ever will be possible to craft your entire gear on your own.
Thanks ahead for your answers.
Anet said they will raise each craft to 500 by the end of the year, they never said that Jeweler 500 will be able to craft ascended trinkets.
My guess would be either Legendary Trinkets (with changeable stats and maybe some visual effects) or Infusions because ascended trinkets are obtained by other means.
But maybe they also add those ascended trinkets with stats that are not available yet.

I don’t think this will be the case, but I suspect they will introduce new items for the crafted trinkets that have different naming and slightly different stat combos than those currently available via NPCs. It only makes sense to make both sources relevant to players needs. I see no reason crafting ascended Rings and Amulets would not follow that formula as well.

There is space in the crafting mats for an item called Electrum. That actually exists in the real world but it’s not common. It’s a blend of silver and gold. I’m sure that’ll be the base material for Ascended jewelry crafting, like Deldrimor or Spiritwood are being used in those crafts.
I remember some interview, that I can’t find now, where they mentioned Legendary trinkets. iirc, there would possibly be an aura associated with them. It wasn’t hard information through. The ANet staffer was more tossing out possibilities.
Edit: this was on another thread. An interview with Mat Visual. http://youtu.be/Jy7CcwnfUdU?t=13m25s

This one requires silver, gold, platinium and mithrillium, so it’s clearly a jeweller’s equivalent to deldrimor steel. There were also hints that crystalline ore/ingots might be used in creation of ascended tier jewels, although those are not confirmed.
The first of those alone strongly suggests, that we will see jeweller’s ascended crafting eventually. And they did say that all the crafting professions will get increased to 500 levels this year.

Yeah, I’m very confident that we will see Ascended jewelry crafting too. They may have the advantage over existing trinkets in that the Jeweler can customise precisely what stats and upgrade they have. The current Ascended gear can remain as they are as a “cheaper” alternative to crafting, or they might make Ascended gear salvageable so players have something to do with Ascended Rings they don’t want. (ANet has already hinted they have something in mind.)

That makes sense, but could you show us where you found that?

I believe if this WAS originally stated, they backtracked more recently and confirmed that Ascended Armor was certainly on track for this year (already announced for Dec 10th update), but the remaining 2 crafts (Jeweler and Chef) would be early 2014 (I suspect by end of Q1 2014).
