Ascended Rings Infused Question
This was changed in the Fractured Update. Previously when you infused the ring you got the +5 on it.
Now when you infuse the ring it give you the extra Agony Infusion Slot to use the +1 Infusions that drop in fractals. This will allow the ring to have all the way up to +30 agony resist added to it. You up level the +1 infusions with an artificer to the level you require and then just put it on your ring.

O and this is true I assume for all the rings etc… like http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Bagh_Nakh_
If you put a versatile infusion on an ascended ring, do you lose that if you infuse it?
Yes, all rings work like this. Also as you level up in fractals, you will have a chance for a ring to drop already infused so you won’t need to use the mystic forge to infuse it.
But it is the same recipe to infuse any ring, and they all will get the Agony Infusion Slot added to it, instead of the the old way where it get +5 Agony Resist.

Yes, when you infuse a ring it becomes Account Bound again and loses all infusions on them whether that be a versatile, fine, or Omni infusion.

Losing the infusion sucks, but I like the account bound bit.
